The colorful neighborhoods and less expensive rents of the Lower East Side have attracted many young artists in recent years. One example of the graffiti art of the Lower East Side can be seen in the photo top right.
Top left and center right are photos taken on Delancey Street. You won't find the designer stores of Madison Avenue or Soho here, but you will enjoy a real New York feeling as you walk the streets. You'll see the young rebels on one block outside of colorful clubs that are next door to stores selling fabric, statues and rugs from India. This area is unique and growing in popularity as the city expands.
