2 cups chopped apples or pears (2 medium) 1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice 1/3 cup slivered almonds or chopped pecans, toasted 1/4 cup celery 1/4 cup dried red tart cherries or raisins 1/4 cup seedless grapes, halved 1/3 cup whipping cream 1/4 cup mayonnaise or salad dressing
In a medium mixing bowl toss chopped apples or pears with lemon juice. Stir in nuts, celery, cherries or raisins, and grapes. For dressing: In a chilled, small mixing bowl whip the cream to soft peaks. Fold mayonnaise or salad dressing into the whipped cream. Fold dressing into fruit mixture. Cover and chill for 2 to 4 hours. Makes 4 to 6 servings.
