Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday December 30th 2004
"Come on Tiffany. You have to find out where Deanna is getting all that money from," her sister Starlene said.
"I know."
"Come on let's go in her room and check it out," Starlene said getting up from the sofa.
"She might come home."
"Well where is she?"
"I don't know. She never tells me when she's coming or going. I don't know anything," Tiffany said throwing her hands up in the air.
"Come on. I'll snoop while you stand guard," Starlene said walking towards the bedroom that she occupied before she married the wealthy Stanley Morgan.
"I don't know Starlene," Tiffany said.
"Well, I do. We have to find out. A strange man is calling her all the time and she's suddenly got tons of money. This girl might be trouble," Starlene said walking into Deanna's bedroom and looking around.
"Go ahead. At least if you're the one snooping I don't have to lie and look her in the eyes," Tiffany said taking a stand in front of Deanna's bedroom door.
"Well, I'll start in her closet," Starlene said opening the door. "Wow, get a load of these dresses," she said.
"What? Her nightclub stuff?"
"She's got her club clothes in here, but she's got these bags from Gucci too," Starlene said picking up a couple of bags and opening them.
"What's in the bags?" Tiffany asked glancing around the door trying to see.
"Gucci shoes. Man she really does have some money," Starlene said.
"Okay, so she's bought some expensive shoes. That's not a big deal."
"Well, I'm not finished looking yet," Starlene said pulling down a box from the top of the closet.
"What's in there?" Tiffany asked.
"I don't know. Looks like letters."
"Letters?"
"Yeah, let's read them," Starlene said.
"We better not Starlene. What if she comes home?"
"Oh just a couple."
"You read and I'll stand here just in case she comes in," Tiffany said.
"This one is from some guy," Starlene said as her eyes raced down the folded paper.
"Who? What guy?" Tiffany asked.
"Oh I see."
"See what?"
"It's from her ex-husband in Las Vegas."
"What does he say?"
"That he loves her. He hopes she'll come back to Vegas."
"Okay so that's what the letters are then. Come on out before she catches us," Tiffany said nervous about the situation.
"There are more envelopes here though," Starlene said as her fingers raced through the letters.
"Here's one from a woman," Starlene said glancing first at the name on the bottom of the handwritten letter.
"Who is it?" Tiffany asked as her eyes stayed fixed on the front door in case Deanna came home unexpectedly.
"Her foster Mother."
"Oh I feel horrible about this Starlene. Just put her letters back and come back in her before she catches us," Tiffany said.
"No. Just a couple more," Starlene said quickly opening another letter.
