Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday December 27th 2004 Tiffany turned down the sound on the TV with the remote and reached for the ringing telephone on her coffee table. "Hello," she answered. "Hi Tiffany. What's going on?" her sister Starlene asked. "Hi Starlene! How was Christmas?" "It was okay. I wish we could have stayed in town though. Stanley took me to Washington!" "How was Washington?" "It's pretty. The hotel was really nice. I told him next year he better not make out-of-town reservations during the holidays as a surprise for me. I wanted to be at home on our first Christmas together as a married couple." "I can understand that. What did he give you for Christmas?" "We had dinner in Georgetown and he took me to see a townhouse he wants to buy," Starlene said her voice fading slightly. "A townhouse?" "Yeah. Can you believe it?" "Why on earth would Stanley want to buy a townhouse in Georgetown?" "He says he has a lot of business there and he doesn't want to stay in a hotel every time he goes there on business." "Oh. Gee. How do you feel about that?" "I don't know. It's kinda weird. I mean we've only been married a few months and he hasn't been taking trips there. I don't know. What do you think I should think?" "I don't know either Starlene. I guess if he takes you along when he takes the trips it would be okay." "Yeah, that's what I said." "Well, what did he say?" "He said 'maybe sometimes'". "I don't know Starlene. That doesn't sound too good to me," Tiffany said thinking about how her ex-husband Skeeter had cheated on her so many times. "Well, I trust him," Starlene said defensively. "Not all men are like Skeeter." "You asked me Starlene. I didn't mean any harm." "Oh... I'm sorry. I guess I was a little taken back by the townhouse thing myself," Starlene said. "What did he give you for Christmas?" Tiffany asked. "A diamond necklace!" "Oh wow. I guess that made up for the surprise visit to the townhouse." "It didn't hurt! Well, what about your Christmas? What did you do?" "Skeeter came over Christmas Eve. He took me out to dinner and then he spent the night here." "Did he give you a present?" "Yeah," she said her voice filled with disgust. "What was it?" "One of those sheer nightgowns from his lingerie store." "Oh no! That's all?" "Yeap. That was it and I spent a lot of money on him. Money that I don't really have to spend since I'm not working." "What did you get him?" "I bought him a overcoat from Brooks Brothers," Tiffany said. "That must have set you back." "It sure did. I used most of the money that Deanna gave me for Christmas on Skeeter. I wish I hadn't done that." "Well, speaking of Deanna... what's going on with Double D Deanna?" Starlene said referring to her sister's roommate the topless dancer. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
