Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday December 23rd 2004 "Hi Tiffany," Deanna said as she opened the door walking into the living room of Tiffany's apartment. "Hi Deanna," Tiffany said turning on the light beside the sofa. "What are you doing sitting here in the dark?" "Oh nothing," Tiffany said watching as Deanna walked into the living room and took a seat in the nearby chair. "You're depressed aren't you?" "Yeah. I guess I am. I don't have a job and Skeeter and I aren't getting along either." "He told me." "Skeeter told you that we had a fight?" "Well, Tiffany. I sent him over here so that you two could be alone while I was over there with Vinny. I thought the two of you would enjoy some alone time, but he didn't stay long." "I guess I'm not in a good mood." "Is it because you don't have a job?" "Yeah," Tiffany said. "I feel like a loser." "I have an idea!" "What?" "I bet I could get you a job at the club where I dance." "No! I would never do that." "It was just an idea. Okay. Sorry," Deanna said obviously hurt as she got up out of the chair and started to walk towards the bedroom. "I'm sorry Deanna. That was sweet of you. It's just that I can't dance. I don't have the equipment you do," Tiffany said smiling. "I understand. Look I don't want to see my new friend all upset like this," she said walking into her bedroom as Tiffany watched. "Just a minute," she said as Tiffany heard her rummaging through papers. She walked back into the living room and towards the sofa where Tiffany was seated. "Here you go Tiffany," she said handing her an envelope. "Don't open it until after I have left. Okay? I have to go to work now." "What is it?" Tiffany asked taking the envelope. "Just don't open it until I'm gone. Okay?" "Okay," Tiffany said taking the envelope and placing it on the coffee table. "I want us to be like sisters. I hope that Starlene will like me too. I know it's harder for her because I'm seeing Vinny and Vinny and her had this little thing going on before she married Stanley." "Yeah," Tiffany said watching Deanna her pick up her pink Go-Go bag from the table and walk to the front door. "I want you to be happy Tiffany. You let me move in here when I needed a place to stay. You're a sweet person. I'll always love you for that," Deanna said. "Well, Skeeter kinda did that," Tiffany admitted. "He couldn't have let me move in unless he knew it would be okay with you," she said. "Is that what he said?" "No. I just know it. You're a real friend Tiffany. I never had any family. You and I are going to have a great life here," she said before opening the door and walking out into the hallway. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
