Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday December 22nd 2004
"Do you want another beer Big Daddy?" Deanna called out as Skeeter leaned back on the sofa of his apartment.
"Yeah, that would be great Baby," he said picking up the remote and changing the CD. He heard her open the refrigerator door and take out a beer before walking back into the living room where he was seated.
"Here you go," she said handing him the beer and taking a seat on the sofa beside him.
"Thanks Baby," he said taking the beer and downing half of it before sitting the bottle on his coffee table.
"So what did Tiffany say? She didn't want you to come over and you know?" She said grinning.
"No, she's all angry and upset with me."
"Why?"
"Awe she's all jealous over you Deanna."
"I wish she wouldn't be."
"Well, she is. She doesn't like it that you're over here alone with me and Vinny isn't home yet."
"Did you tell her that Vinny will soon be here?"
"Yeah, yeah. I told her. She's just jealous."
"I'm sorry to hear that. I want Tiffany and me to be close friends."
"Well, it ain't going to be easy. Tiffany can be hard to get along with."
"Are you still in love with her Skeeter?"
"I care a lot about her, but she's moody especially since she lost her job."
"I told her not to worry about money."
"How's that?" he asked watching her closely. Tiffany had let it slip that Deanna had come into a lot of money and had said she would pay the entire rent.
"I have money. I can pay the rent for her."
"That's nice. I mean you haven't known Tiffany that long."
"Well, I have plenty of money. That's not something she needs to worry about. I know what it's like to worry over money," she said knowingly.
"How did you get plenty of money?"
"Oh, I make a lot," she said avoiding his question.
"You make that much dancing in the strip club?"
"Let's just say I have connections now that have enabled me not to worry."
"Is it Vinny? Is Vinny funding you?" he asked referring to her boyfriend and his Mafia connected roommate.
"No. Let's just drop the subject okay? I can't go into it."
"Sounds like Vinny to me," he said as the front door opened and Vinny walked in.
"Hey what's going on here?" Vinny asked as he closed the door.
"We've been waiting for you Vinny," Deanna said.
"What have the two of you been up to while you wait?" he asked through narrowed eyes.
"Nothing man," Skeeter said scooting over on the sofa to put more distance between him and Deanna.
"It looks like the two of you have been having a little party," Vinny said closing the door and walking into the living room.
"No, Big Daddy. I was just over here with Skeeter and we were talking some," she said getting up from the sofa and walking towards Vinny.
