Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday December 8th 2004 "Hi Starlene and Tiffany," Deanna said as she closed the front door to Tiffany's Bleecker Street apartment. "Hi," the sisters said in unison. "What's going on?" Deanna said before placing her NYU schoolbooks on the table and taking off her jacket. "We were just talking a little," Tiffany said. "Well actually this strange guy just called here for you." "What was his name?" "He didn't say. He said you wouldn't know him so he didn't want to leave his name or number," Tiffany said. "Oh, probably nothing important," Deanna said taking a seat in a nearby chair. "He wanted to know if you were the same Deanna that once lived in Las Vegas." "Oh really? Now that's interesting. I didn't tell anyone that I was moving here except my ex-husband and he knows this number," she said. "Wonder who it could be?" Starlene asked. "I don't know. I guess he'll call back if it's important," Deanna said. "I guess so," Tiffany said. "Are you feeling better today Tiffany?" Deanna asked referring to catching her crying last night when she came home from her job at the topless club. "Yeah. I'm better. How about a Coke?" Tiffany asked looking at both women. "Sounds good to me," Deanna said. "Me too," Starlene said as Tiffany got up and walked into the kitchen. "I'm worried about your sister. She's very unhappy," Deanna whispered. "She's worried about not having a job." "I told her I'd let her borrow money," Deanna said. "That's not the only thing that's bothering her," Starlene said. "What is it then?" Deanna whispered. "She's worried about Skeeter. Don't tell her I told you but she worries that he won't be faithful," Starlene said as she listened to the noises from the kitchen to be sure that Tiffany wouldn't hear her. "Oh! Is that it?" Deanna said grinning broadly. "Yeah," Starlene said studying Deanna's reaction. "Here you go," Tiffany said walking into the living room with a tray of Cokes. "Thanks," the women said as they took the Cokes. Tiffany placed her glass and the tray on the coffee table and took her seat on the sofa beside Starlene. "So Tiffany how are you and Skeeter doing?" Deanna asked. "Fine," Tiffany said puzzled as she turned to look at Starlene. Starlene quickly looked down to avoid Tiffany's eyes. "I can tell he really loves you," Deanna said. "Oh really? Why do you say that?" Tiffany said as she shot Starlene a dirty look. "If there is one thing I know, it's men. Skeeter really loves you," Deanna said. "Well, I'd like to know why you say that?" Tiffany said. "Because when I first came here to look at the bedroom for rent, you and Starlene were out of town," Deanna said hesitating as she glanced at the sisters. "Yeah... yeah," Tiffany said anxious for her to go on. "Well, he could have been unfaithful. I mean we were alone in the apartment together and you were in Georgia with Starlene." "Yeah," both sisters said. "See you can trust him. He told me all about you then," Deanna said. "But of course he told you all about me. You were getting ready to rent the bedroom from me," Tiffany said annoyed. "He could have had his way and then told me later that you rented the room to someone else. Did you ever think about that?" Deanna said. "Could he have had his way Deanna?" Tiffany asked. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
