Today we'll show you some of the pictures from one of the recent war protests in New York.
Top right picture you see Washington Square Park and the arches which were designed in 1892 commemorating the centennial of President Washington's inauguration. The arches that are now covered in scaffolding face Fifth Avenue on one side and Washington Square Park on the other.

Fifth NYC picture you see one of the protesters carrying POW signs. The crowd was loud but peaceful. They carried signs expressing their opinions about the war in Iraq and many political issues.
Sixth NYC picture you see some of the protesters as they made their way into Washington Square Park.
There's never a shortage of interesting activity in this area. This is only one day and one event. Just look at the truck load of vintage corvettes that went by just before the crowds arrived.
