The heart of Greenwich Village is Washington Square Park. Top right you see the arches of Washington Square Park. This is where the NYU students hang out in nice weather and locals gather. You'll also see street musicians, artists, chess players and residents walking their dogs here.

Bottom right picture you see 6th Avenue and West 4th Street as seen from a rooftop. If you walk west a few blocks you'll be in an area known as the West Village which is popular with the gays.
