The street vendors are so much fun because they like the challenge of bargaining with you over the price of items. The original price is never the real sale price of any item. Remember that these high level negotiations on the sidewalk are usually between two people, one speaking English and the other Chinese. Closing the deal adds new meaning to term "consumer satisfaction."
