Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday May 27th 2005 Tiffany turned down the sound on the TV and rushed towards the ringing telephone in her Bleecker Street apartment. "Hello," she answered as she pulled down the sheer nightgown her ex-husband Skeeter had given her as a gift. "Did you? Did you and Jake do it?" Starlene asked eagerly. "Yes," Tiffany said feeling warm all over from the memories of last night. "Oh my gosh! I knew it would happen. Are you in love?" "I think so." "Oh wow. I knew it. Stanley said Jake's eyes lit up when he told him that you were interested in him," Starlene said referring to the dinner party she had thrown last night to get the couple together. "I can never thank you and Stanley enough," Tiffany said taking a seat on the sofa as she held the phone. "So was it good?" "Starlene! You can't ask me that!" "Oh yes I can. I helped arrange the whole thing. You have to tell me." "It was great," Tiffany said glancing towards her bedroom where the sheets from the bed were draped on the floor. "On a scale of one to ten?" "Ten." "Wow! So where is he now?" "He left early. He had to go home and shower and get ready for work." "I bet sparks will be flying at work today!" "Yeah. I promised him I wouldn't let this get in the way of our working relationship." "Right. So when are you seeing him again?" "I don't know. We didn't talk about that." "So what do you think? Do you think this will be serious?" "I think it is serious," Tiffany said. "You mean like marry him one day and everything." "I would certainly consider marrying him." "Oh my gosh. I can't wait to tell Stanley that you two got it on." "Well, we have to be careful Starlene. You know I still have Skeeter living next door," she said referring to her jealous ex-husband and sometimes lover. "You're going to have to move Tiffany. I mean either tell Skeeter or move." "You know it's not that easy to move Starlene. I have low rent here. Do you know how much apartments like this in the Village go for now?" "No." "About three thousand a month. I can't just move that easily." "Maybe Skeeter will move." "I don't know. His lingerie store is downstairs. I don't think he'll want to move." "Well, just go to Jake's place when you want to do it," Starlene said. "That's probably what we'll have to do when Skeeter comes back from Atlanta," Tiffany said. "Do you want me to ask Stanley if he knows of any apartments for you?" Starlene asked referring to the fact her older husband is a broker. "That would be good. If it isn't too much trouble," Tiffany said. "Okay consider it done. I'll ask him right away." "Somebody's at the door," Tiffany said when she heard a knock. "Go ahead and answer it. I bet its Jake coming back for some more," Starlene said laughing. "For some reason I thought Jake might come back before he goes into the office," Tiffany said as she walked towards the front door. "I bet Jake will be worn out today after what we did last night," Tiffany said as she opened the front door. "Skeeter!" she said her voice filled with alarm. CONTINUED FRIDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
