Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday May 20th 2005 "Good morning Amanda," Starlene said as she pushed open the door to Skeeter's lingerie store "Next to Nothing" on Bleecker Street. "Hey there. I haven't seen you in a long time," Amanda said as she walked towards the front of the store her motorcycle boots pounding the floor. "I just thought I would stop by. I'm on my way to the Empire State Building to visit with my sister Tiffany." "Oh yeah?" Amanda asked as she ran her fingers through her punk boyish haircut. "Yeah, she just started a new job in a modeling agency across the hallway from my husband Stanley's office." "How nice. A modeling agency huh?" the gay sales clerk asked. "Yes, it's a new business. Tiffany's really excited." "That's cool. Want to try on some of the lingerie?" Amanda asked as her eyes feasted on the low cut sweater Starlene was wearing. "No, I don't have a lot of time today," Starlene said as she glanced through a stack of thongs on sale. "If you want anything just let me know. I think you'd look great in this one," Amanda said holding up a sheer lace teddy. "That is so nice," Starlene admitted. "Here try it on and model it for me," Amanda said hopefully. "Oh no. I don't have time. I'll just buy it," she said motioning for Amanda to put into a bag. "Here you go," Starlene said taking a hundred-dollar bill from her purse. "I don't have change for a hundred this early in the morning," Amanda said staring at the bill in her hand. "Just keep the change." "Aren't you generous?" "I can be." "Then shop in here more often," Amanda said grinning as she stuffed the money in the back pocket of her jeans. "What's going on with Skeeter?" "He's at a trade show in Atlanta." "I know that. When will he be home?" "He hasn't told me yet. Why? I bet Tiffany wants to know so she can have Jake back over to her apartment." "What makes you say that?" Starlene asked realizing her sister was in trouble. "On my way over to Skeeter's apartment to check his phone messages and stuff I ran into Tiffany and Jake was leaving her apartment. Tiffany wasn't dressed for work. She was looking really hot too," Amanda said all dreamy eyed. "That doesn't mean anything. Tiffany got a new computer and Jake helped her set it up." "I guess that's what she told you." "It's true!" "Sure, sure..." she said shaking her head. "Amanda it's true. Nothing happened between Tiffany and Jake." "Okay. It's not any of my business, I guess. Although Skeeter did ask me to keep an eye on everything." "Does everything include Tiffany?" "Yeap." "Are you going to tell Skeeter that Jake was in Tiffany's apartment?" "I don't know. I was planning to. What do you think I should do?" "Don't tell him." "But he's paying me to watch everything. You know what I mean?" she asked grinning. CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
