Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday May 18th 2005 "Thanks again Jake, thanks for stopping by", Tiffany said as she stood in the doorway of her second floor Bleecker Street apartment with her boss. "I didn't do much. You really had all the work done," he said referring to her new computer system. "I've learned it all from you Jake," she said smiling, glad he would never know how hard she had worked to have the system finished so they would have time alone instead of working tonight. "See you tomorrow," he called out waving as he disappeared down the staircase. "See you. Jake, I'll bring in extra Starbucks after all the wine we had tonight," she called out laughing. "Good idea we might be hung over tomorrow. Goodnight Tiffany," he called out as he pushed open the door downstairs on the first floor. Tiffany heard footsteps on the stairs and glanced up just as she was getting ready to close her front door. "Hey there," Amanda said as she climbed the stairs, her motorcycle boots pounding on the stairs as she came closer to Tiffany's front door. "Hi Amanda," Tiffany said worried that her ex-husband's gay assistant might have just heard her conversation with Jake. "I guess you miss Skeeter," Amanda said as she approached Skeeter's apartment next door. "Sure. Is everything okay downstairs at Next to Nothing?" Tiffany asked referring to her ex-husband's lingerie store on the ground floor where Amanda works as Skeeter's assistant. "Oh sure. Sales have been great today. I think it goes better when your old man ain't around." "Oh. What are you doing?" Tiffany asked as she watched Amanda starting to unlock Skeeter's door with a key. "I've got to check Skeeter's answering machine and mail for him then call him in Atlanta tonight," she said referring to the fact he was at a trade show in Georgia. "I see. So he gave you a key to his apartment?" "Well, yeah. He knows he can trust me. Why did you want to snoop a little?" she asked devilishly. "Of course not," Tiffany said. "Man I hope you don't mind me saying this," Amanda said glancing at Tiffany's tight jeans, white blouse and stilettos. She noticed that the top three buttons on Tiffany's blouse were unbuttoned and lace was exposed on her ample bosom. "What Amanda?" Tiffany asked worried she would ask about Jake. "You look hot tonight Tiffany," Amanda said as she leaned back on Skeeter's door and admired Tiffany. "Oh thank you Amanda." "No, I mean you really look hot girl. Are you expecting somebody?" "No, of course not," Tiffany said defensively. "You look like you're dressed to go out." "No." "Want to?" Amanda asked. "To what?" "Go out?" "No, it's late. I have to work tomorrow." "I've got to work too. We could just go down the street to one of the clubs and grab a glass of wine or a beer," Amanda said as she watched Tiffany. "Thanks but no thanks," Tiffany said. "Okay have it your way," Amanda said angrily as she turned to finish unlocking Skeeter's front door. "I hope you understand," Tiffany said worried that Amanda had overheard her talking to Jake and would tell Skeeter when he came back from the trade show in Atlanta. "If I said I would be angry would you change your mind?" Amanda asked grinning as she turned to look at Tiffany. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
