Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday May 13th 2005 "Look at her Starlene", Tiffany whispered as they watched Nina lean back and cross her long shapely legs in the mini skirt she was wearing. "I know. She's a knock out, alright," Starlene admitted as they watched the model and Tiffany's boss in his office nearby. "She's a gorgeous model." "You're beautiful too Tiffany," Starlene whispered. They watched Jake smiling as he sat beside Nina in his office in the Empire State Building. "Not as pretty as she is." "Yes you are." "Oh, stop this. It's not going to happen. I'm his secretary and she's his model. I saw the books the other day. She's bringing in a lot of money to his agency." "Well, you have advantages." "I'm telling you it's not going to happen. I don't stand a chance. He doesn't even know how I feel." "You've got to let him know Tiffany," Starlene said glancing towards her sister to be sure she was listening. "I don't know," Tiffany said glancing back into Jake's office noticing that Nina seemed to even laugh with a sexy foreign accent. "You heard Nina when I asked her if she was going to marry Jake. She said they hadn't you know. That means they haven't done it yet Tiffany. That means you've got to get to him first," Starlene said with an air of authority. "How? How on earth can I do that? I'm his employee. I have to be careful." "It's easy. I've got the whole thing figured out," Starlene said with pride. "What whole thing?" "Look, didn't you order a new computer last week?" "Yes, it's due to be delivered this evening as a matter of fact," Tiffany said. "Didn't Skeeter leave this morning for the lingerie show in Atlanta?" "Yes," Tiffany said nodding her head as if to say she knew where Starlene was coming from with this line of questioning. "Well, it's easy!" "How?" "Ask Jake to come over and help you set up your new computer." "I can't do that." "Oh yes you can. You told me yourself he's great at computers and he knows you've had to learn his new system." "I can't concentrate when he's telling me something and he leans over my shoulder," Tiffany said remembering the smell of his after-shave. "Ask him to stop by after work and help you set up the system. Then one thing leads to another. Tomorrow morning you're going out for bagels with him before you come to the office," she said grinning. "I don't know Starlene. Do you really think I should do that?" Tiffany asked glancing up when they heard the sounds of Nina's laughter in Jake's office. "You've got to Tiffany. I think it's your only chance if you want to have a relationship with Jake. I mean it's easier now than if Skeeter were at home. Didn't you tell me that Vinny is in Florida too?" she asked referring to Skeeter's Mafia roommate. "Yes, he's gone too," Tiffany admitted shaking her head as she became more certain that her sister was making a good point. "Then ask him. Look the worst that can happen is you get your computer set up for free." "Or Skeeter catches us. Skeeter might kill us both if he knew Jake was in my apartment." "He'll never know. Look, here they come now. After she leaves ask him. Okay?" Starlene whispered as they watched Nina and Jake walking towards the lobby where they were seated. "Okay," Tiffany whispered before taking a deep breath. "I don't think I have a chance though," she said as they watched Nina lean against Jake, her small firm bosom pressed into his arm.
