Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday April 27th 2005
"No Starlene. I haven't snooped in Jake's office," Tiffany said as she watched her sister walk towards her new bosses office door in the Empire State Building.
"You watch and I'll go in and see if I can find anything about him," Starlene said.
"No! You can't snoop," Tiffany said as she watched Starlene shrug her shoulders. "Okay. Then you'll just have to wait to find out whether he's got a girlfriend or not," Starlene said as she gave up and walked towards Tiffany's desk.
"Would you really have gone in there and snooped in his desk?" Tiffany asked.
"Maybe. Why have you changed your mind?"
"No, just curious," Tiffany said. "I see Jake coming," Tiffany whispered as she saw him through the glass walls of the office. He was walking down the hallway towards the front door.
"Do you want me to leave really quickly?" Starlene asked since she was standing near the front door.
"No, stay," Tiffany said as Jake opened the door and walked into the office.
"Hi," he said smiling at Starlene.
"Hi, I'm Starlene. Tiffany's sister," she said.
"It's a pleasure to meet you. I met your husband Stanley," he said glancing across the hallway at Stanley's office door.
"Yes. This is so convenient. I'll get to see my sister a little more often," Starlene said.
"I think that's great. Are you ladies heading out to lunch?" he asked glancing towards Tiffany.
"Oh no. Not really," Tiffany said.
"Why don't you go ahead and have lunch with your sister. I have an appointment coming in a few minutes. This would be a great time for you to have lunch," he said nodding towards Tiffany.
"Okay," Tiffany said picking up her purse from the floor beside her desk. "Where would you like to go Starlene?" Tiffany asked.
"Anywhere," Starlene said as they watched Jake walk into his office and take a seat at his desk.
"He's cute," Starlene whispered.
"See what I told you?" Tiffany whispered and smiled. "He's great," she said as they walked towards the door. Tiffany pushed the glass door open and walked out into the hallway. She pushed the button for the elevator. "Oh look, we're lucky the elevator is stopping on this floor next," she said as she watched the lights above the elevator door. The door opened and a tall beautiful young woman stepped out. She was dressed in designer jeans and a sweater. She was wearing sunglasses and her long dark hair was pulled up on the top of her head.
"You know where I find the office of Jake?" She asked in a foreign accent.
"Right there," Tiffany said pointing to the office next to the elevator.
"Thank you," she said smiling as the elevator door closed before Tiffany and Starlene realized what was happening.
"We missed the elevator," Starlene said tapping the button with her long manicured fingernail.
"Look at her. She is so beautiful. You can just tell she's a model. Look at the way she walks," Tiffany said as she watched the young woman open the door to Jake's office and walk inside.
"Looks like Jake thinks she's beautiful too," Starlene said as they watched him smiling broadly when he saw the young woman enter his office.
