Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday April 22nd 2005 Starlene turned down the sound on the TV with the remote. She quickly picked up the ringing telephone on the coffee table of her husband's Upper East Side mansion. "Hello," she answered. "It's me," her sister Tiffany said as she unlocked the front door of her Bleecker Street apartment . She walked into the living room with her cell phone. "How did it go with Jake?" "Great!" Tiffany said as she locked the dead bolt on the front door and walked into the living room. "Tell me... tell me everything. I've been dying to hear," Starlene said as she heard her husband Stanley in his office talking on the phone. "I have the job. I'll be working in his office as his receptionist," Tiffany said. "Ohmygosh! That's wonderful. What kind of business does he have?" "It's a casting agency." "Ohmygosh, ohmygosh! I can't stand it," Starlene said remembering her long lost dreams of becoming a big star. "He's so good looking Starlene," Tiffany said leaning back on the sofa as she kicked off her shoes and put her feet up on the coffee table. "So you're in love with this guy. I can hear it in your voice Tiffany!" Starlene said surprised by her sister's interest in this new man. "I really like him, but. You know. I have Skeeter." "Skeeter. You still think of Skeeter after meeting this new Mr. Wonderful?" "Well, I do have Skeeter in my life," she said thinking about her next door neighbor and ex-husband. "But you really really like this guy Jake?" "Yes. I really like him." Tiffany said. "Good." "But I don't know if he has a girlfriend or not." "So he didn't try anything with you?" "Oh no. He was actually very professional." "So you don't know if he likes you or not. I mean other than giving you a job," Starlene said. "I don't know. I really couldn't tell. He's very nice. I don't know if he would consider having a personal relationship with a co-worker as wrong or not. I don't know. Of course, we didn't talk about that," Tiffany said. "So you'll see. When do you start?" "Tomorrow. I just can't wait." "This is wonderful Tiffany. I never spent a lot of time at Stanley's office but now I know I will," she said referring to the fact her husband's office is across the hallway from Tiffany's new job. "I know. I told him all about you." "What does he look like?" "Nice looking. Really nice looking. He has brownish blonde hair and blue eyes. His smile is the thing. He has the most broad engaging smile. You just wouldn't believe it," Tiffany said feeling warm all over when she thought about her handsome new employer. "So do you think you'll dump Skeeter and live happily ever after with Jake?" "That's a real good question. Isn't it Starlene? Maybe... Just maybe," she said as she remembered Jake's handsome face. CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
