Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday April 14th 2005 Tiffany glanced up from her duties at the receptionist's desk at Stanley's office in the Empire State Building. "Hi Tiffany," Stanley's secretary said as she walked in and tossed her purse on a chair. "Hi Cindy. How's the baby?" Tiffany asked. "Great. The only problem is the crying all night. I guess you heard my boyfriend left me because he couldn't take the crying?" "I heard. That's just so low." "Oh well. I should have known he wouldn't stick around. It's okay. I have a good job here I can take care of the baby myself," she said. "When are you coming back to work?" Tiffany asked. "Tomorrow. I thought I'd stop by today and see if there is anything you need to go over with me." "No, I can't think of anything," Tiffany said. "There isn't that much to do here," she added. "Yeah, it's a great job." "I loved it," Tiffany admitted. "I'm sorry I had to come back and ruin it for you." "You need the job more than I do." "Hi ladies," Stanley said as he walked into the lobby where they were seated. "I'm back," Cindy said. "Good. I think Tiffany did a great job while you were gone. We have to find Tiffany a job now," he said. "Yeah, you know I bumped into one of the maintenance guys from the building and he was asking me if I was coming back to work here. I told him I was and he said he knew of a job opening at the office across the hall," Cindy said nodding her head towards the offices across the hallway. "Really?" Stanley asked. "Yeah, he said there's a new guy moving in and he might need somebody," Cindy said. "I'll walk over and see what I can find out," Stanley said as he got up from his chair and walked towards the front door to leave. "I'll be right back," he said to the women as he pushed open the door and walked to the office across the hallway. "Gee, that's nice of Stanley to help you out like this," Cindy said. "Yeah, he's done a lot for me. He's even tried fixing me up with his real estate friend Victor," Tiffany said. "Victor?" Cindy asked. "Yeah, do you know Victor?" "Yeah, he's comes in often. He asked me out too," she admitted. "Did you go out with him?" "Yeah, we went out to lunch once." "Really? I went to lunch with him too," Tiffany said smiling as she remembered the lunch at Tavern on the Green Restaurant. "He took me to Tavern on the Green Restaurant," Cindy said. "Me too!" Tiffany said as they both grinned. "Then he told me that he knew of an empty apartment we could go to afterwards," Cindy said. "Really?" "Yeah, once he got what he wanted he never asked me out again," Cindy admitted. "I guess that was a big mistake. Stanley said I shouldn't have let him slip away," she said shaking her head in regret. "Did he try anything with you?" she asked. "Yeah." "Did you?" "Nope and Stanley said I was wrong too," Tiffany said. "Look I see Stanley talking to the new tenant across the hallway," Cindy said as the two women glanced through the windows across the hall. "He's really cute too," Tiffany said as she admired the handsome tenant. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
