Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday April 13th 2005 "Come on in honey", Starlene said as her sister walked into the living room of husband's Upper East Side mansion. "Thanks for inviting me over. I need to talk. Things just aren't working out for me," Tiffany said as she walked into the living room and took a seat on the sofa. "So Deanna is moving out but the other two dancers aren't?" Starlene said referring to their recent telephone conversation. "Yeah, and that's not good enough. They all have to move out or I'll be evicted," Tiffany said. "That's horrible. I wonder how the building management found out the strippers were living with you?" Starlene asked. "I don't know. The manager said they had complaints about the music. I just don't know," Tiffany said as Stanley walked into living room. "Hi Tiffany," Stanley said as he took a seat in a nearby chair. "Hi Stan. Did Starlene tell you my most recent trouble?" "Yeah. So the dancers say they can't move because they don't have money for a deposit?" "That's right." "I have an idea," Stanley said thoughtfully. "Anything. Please," Tiffany said. "I'll front the money to the dancers so they can move," he said. "You will?" Tiffany asked wide-eyed. "Sure. You've been through enough," Stanley said. "But you've done so much for me Stanley. You've let me work for you while your secretary is on maternity leave and now you'll give these women money so they can leave. Oh Stanley! Thank you so much," Tiffany said. "You aren't expecting anything from these dancers in return… are you Stanley Morgan?" Starlene asked through narrowed eyes. "No, honey!" he said smiling. "Good. I'll tell them right away," Tiffany said. "There is one bit of bad news though Tiffany," Stanley said. "What now?" "My secretary is coming back." "Oh no!" Tiffany said. "Yeah, she called today and said her boyfriend left. He said he couldn't sleep with a baby crying all night," Stanley said shaking his head. "That poor girl! I can't believe he's leaving because his baby keeps him up at night," Starlene said. "He's not much. I've begged her for years to find herself a nice guy with money," Stanley said. "Much like I've tried to help you," he added glancing towards Tiffany. "I know you're upset that you fixed me up with Victor and I didn't like him," Tiffany said. "It was a big mistake to let him slip through your fingers," Stanley said. "He slipped alright, right into bed with Deanna," she said referring to her stripper roommate. "You should have been nicer to him Tiffany. That wouldn't have happened," Stanley said. "Well, I can't say I regret it after he took up with Deanna so easily." "You're getting older Tiffany. You're going to have to start thinking about your future," Stanley advised her. "The only thing I'm worried about now is how I'll pay my rent without a job if I can keep the apartment," she said as fear filled her voice. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
