Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday March 31st 2005 "Morning Tiffany," Stanley said as he pushed open the doors to his office in the Empire State Building. "Hi Stanley," Tiffany said as she glanced up from her reception desk in the lobby. "How's the job going?" Stanley asked as he took off his coat and hung it on the rack nearby. "Great. I feel guilty getting paid, it's so easy." "Good, when my secretary comes back I'll refuse to give her a raise." "Oh, is she coming back? Did she have her baby?" "Yeah, she called this morning and said she had a little girl." "That's great. Did she say whether she's coming back or not?" "No, not yet. She says she wants her boyfriend to marry her. That's the way it should be. I told her that in the beginning," the older man said as he took a seat in the chair beside her desk. "I have to confess that I was almost hoping she wouldn't come back. I love this job and it's great working with my brother-in-law." "We'll see what happens. Well, tell me how did you and Victor get along?" he asked referring to the real estate agent he fixed her up with. "He's nice." "That's it? He took you to Tavern on the Green Restaurant for lunch and all you have to say is that 'he's nice'." "I don't know him that well yet." "I'm sure he would like to have gotten to know you a lot better." "Why did he say something?" "He told me that he brought you back to the office after lunch in his limo and that he tried to kiss you and you looked away." "That's right." "Why did you do that?" "I wasn't ready to kiss him yet." "I think you should have at least given him a kiss." "Why because he bought me lunch?" "An expensive lunch my dear." "I don't kiss men just for taking me to lunch." "He's a catch Tiffany. Don't let him get away." "I appreciate everything you're trying to do Stanley, but I don't know if Victor is my type or not." "He's rich and single, what more do you want?" "I don't know. I guess I have so much on my mind. I was interested in Victor because he offered to help find an apartment for the strippers that have moved in with me." "Is that your only interest in Victor?" "I don't know," she said as the door opened and Victor walked in. "Hi Tiffany. Hi Stanley," Victor said. "Victor," Stanley said getting up to greet his friend. "Hi Tiffany. How are you doing?" Victor asked as he patted Stanley on the back. "Good," she said as she watched the two men. "Look Tiffany, I stopped by because I might have an apartment for your dancer roommate," Victor said. "Oh thank goodness!" Tiffany said. "We'll see. I need to show it to them right away," Victor said. "I'll call now," Tiffany said picking up the phone. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
