Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday March 25th 2005 "This way Sir," the waiter said as Victor and Tiffany walked towards a table in Tavern on the Green Restaurant. "This is fine," Victor said as the waiter pulled out the chair for Tiffany and she took a seat. "I'll be right back with your menus," the waiter said leaving them seated by a window overlooking Central Park. "This is a pretty view from here," Tiffany said. "I enjoy the best. Thank you for agreeing to have lunch with me," Victor said. "I wasn't expecting this on my first day of working for Stanley." "Stanley told me you're looking for a job," Victor said. "Yeah, I'm just filling in while his secretary has her baby." "What kind of job are you looking for?" "My last job was with a party planner," Tiffany said. "Okay. I know a lot of people. Maybe I can help you." "That would be great. I really need a job." "I hear you might be looking for a new apartment too," he said grinning knowingly. "Stanley told you about my roommates?" "Yeah, he said you live with two or three strippers," Victor said as the waiter walked to the table and handed them menus. "Yeah, it's just horrible," she said noticing the waiter heard his comment and was looking her over with interest. "How on earth did a nice girl like you end up living with strippers?" Victor asked as the waiter looked back at Tiffany once again. "It's a long story. My ex-husband rented the spare bedroom to Deanna, the first stripper while I was out of town. Then her friends lost their lease and they moved in too," Tiffany said. "I see. So they must work every night?" "Not every night. There is usually one of them hanging around the apartment." "Where is your apartment?" "On Bleecker Street." "That's a nice area." "It was until my ex-husband and the strippers moved in," Tiffany said. "Ex-husband?" "Yeah, he lives next door. He was married to Stanley's daughter Jan at one time," Tiffany said. "Oh yeah. I remember hearing about that," Victor said. "Did you meet Skeeter?" she asked referring to her ex-husband and neighbor. "No, I don't think I ever met him. It sounds like you need a new apartment and a new job," Victor said. "That's true. I would take whichever comes first," Tiffany said. "What about a boyfriend?" he asked grinning. "I don't have a boyfriend," she said feeling pangs of guilt for denying her relationship with Skeeter. "Good! Then I have an opportunity," Victor said. "I don't know," Tiffany said avoiding his eyes. "I hope this will be a day you never forget Tiffany," he said motioning for the waiter to come to their table. "Bring us a bottle of your most expensive champagne," Victor said. "Sir would you like to see the list. They can be very costly," the waiter said in a discrete voice. "The best for my beautiful lady," Victor said reaching across the table to touch Tiffany's hand. CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
