Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday March 22nd 2005 "Stanley says he's wealthy and single Tiffany. Do you like him?" Her sister Starlene asked as she clutched her phone close to her ear. "I don't know. Gee, Starlene it's my first day on the job," Tiffany said pressing the phone into her shoulder as she opened desk drawers. "Where did he go?" "He went to Starbucks to get us coffee," Tiffany said as she closed the empty drawers. "Where Stanley's regular secretary?" "She was having labor pains and left in a hurry." "Wow. That's great. Now you'll be all alone with this guy for an hour or so," Starlene said. "Starlene, I'm not looking forward to spending my first hour with this guy. I don't know anything about him," Tiffany said. "He's single and he's wealthy. Get to know him." "What kind of work does he do?" "Real estate. Stanley says he's a salesman. Stan has worked on several deals with him. See if you can find out why Stanley is buying properties and putting them into Jan's name," she said referring to her husband's older daughter. "I can't do that Starlene. You can't expect me to snoop on my first day." "Well, if the opportunity presents itself." "If," Tiffany said opening one of the folders on her desk and glancing through it. "Want to have lunch today?" "I don't know. I don't have any idea how much work I'll have to do," Tiffany said. "You can go to lunch with me if you want to." "I don't know." "I do. I'm the boss's wife. You can have lunch," Starlene said. "We'll see Starlene." "Let's go somewhere really nice," Starlene persisted. "I don't know Starlene. I want to do a good job for Stanley." "He won't fire you no matter what you do. I won't let him." "That's not exactly the way I work," Tiffany said as she heard the elevator door open in the hallway. "I think that guy is back," Tiffany whispered. "Hi," the man said as he pushed open the glass doors with his shoulders. "I hope you don't mind. I bought us both a Danish too," he said smiling as he walked towards Tiffany's desk. "I have to go now," Tiffany said into the phone as she shook her head in approval at the man. "Good luck. Remember he's wealthy and single," Starlene said. "See you at lunch," she said before hanging up the phone. "You didn't need to rush because of me," he said as he placed the Starbucks bag on her desk. "Oh that was just my sister Starlene. I can call her back," Tiffany said. "Starlene? That's Stanley's wife's name." "Yeah, she's my sister," Tiffany said as he handed her a hot coffee. "Oh really. Then you must be Tiffany," he said smiling broadly. "Yes, how did you know?" "Stanley told me all about you," he said as he pulled his chair closer to her desk. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
