Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday March 18th 2005 "Morning Tiffany," Stanley said as he walked into the living room of his Upper East Side mansion. "Morning Stanley. I was just reading the help wanted in the New York Times," she said folding the newspaper and placing it on the coffee table. "Where's Starlene?" he asked glancing around the elegant living room. "She's upstairs." "Look Tiffany. I know it's probably not any of my business, but I really think you should take me up on my offer to work in my office until you find a job." "You really think so?" "Sure. Why don't you come to work Monday and see if you think you'd like doing it for a few months? You can still look for a job while my secretary takes maternity leave," he said. "What if I find something before she comes back? I don't want to do anything that might cause you trouble Stanley." "That wouldn't be a problem. I can hire a temp to do her work if that happens." "Okay then! I'll do it," Tiffany said. "I need the money and it will give me some more time to look around. Besides I hate being in my apartment with all those stripper roommates of mine," she said shaking her head in disgust. "I'll start Monday," she said. "I'm glad to hear it Tiffany. Tell Starlene I'll call her later," he said picking up his briefcase and walking towards the front door to leave." "Okay," Tiffany said as she watched him open the door and walk out into the bright sunshine on Sutton Place. She heard Starlene's footsteps as she walked down the stairs. "Stanley just left," Tiffany said as her sister walked into the living room. "Gee, he's been leaving early every day lately," she said as she took a seat on the sofa beside her sister. "I told him I would start working at his office on Monday." "Oh wow! I'm so glad Tiffany." "Yeah, I could use the money." "I know." "That was nice of him to ask me." "Yeah. You know there's a favor you could do for me while you're there working," Starlene said hesitantly. "What's that?" "Snoop through his papers and see if you can find out anything about the properties he owns and especially the ones he's putting into Jan's name," she said referring to her husband's older daughter. "I can't do that Starlene," Tiffany said frowning. "Sure you can. Just don't let him catch you." "But he's doing me a favor to let me work there until I find another job." "And you'd be doing me a big favor that might mean a lot of money to me in the future," Starlene said. "But Starlene, he'll know if I snoop." "We'll see." "Maybe I should just tell him that I have changed my mind." "No Tiffany. This is a perfect opportunity." "I don't want to take advantage of Stanley." "So do you want Stanley to take advantage of me?" "No," Tiffany said. "Well, see there. You'll snoop a little and I'll come by and take you to lunch almost every day! We'll have fun." CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
