Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday March 14th 2005 Starlene put down her copy of "It Girl Hairstyles Magazine" to answer the ringing telephone. "Hello," she answered. "Hi Starlene," Tiffany said as she put her make-up into her overnight bag as she sat on Skeeter's bed. "How did it go with you and Skeeter?" "Oh it was nice once he finally got home. He didn't leave his lingerie store until about 11 PM." "Were you mad at him for coming home so late?" "No, I just put all the food into the refrigerator," she said picking up her overnight bag and walking towards the front door to leave. "So are you spending the night with him tonight?" "No. He said we'll play it by ear. I wish I could get him to commit but he's not ready." "Oh well. So what are you going to do?" "I'm on my way now back over to my apartment. I don't know what to do. I guess I'll just have to try and live with Deanna and Vinny," she said referring to her stripper roommate and her Mafia boyfriend. "That's not going to be easy Tiffany." "I know. Well, enough about me. Did you find out more last night about Stanley and why he's putting properties into Jan's name?" "No. I tried everything I could think of. The only thing I know to do is have a baby maybe then he'll put all of his money in my name," Starlene said. "Starlene, that's not a good reason to have a baby." "I guess." "Guess, nothing. I know I'm right about this," Tiffany said as she walked out of the front door of her ex-husband Skeeter's apartment with her cell phone and closed the door. "It would be one way of getting all his money." "But do you want a baby?" "No, I don't think so," Starlene said. "You have to be sure about that Starlene," she said as she put the key in the lock of her apartment next door. "He doesn't want a baby. That makes me want one," Starlene said. "I can understand that. But he's older Starlene. You'd get left with his child when he's gone. You'd have all the work to do alone," Tiffany said as she pushed her apartment door open. "Oh no," she said her voice changing from sisterly to angry. "What's the matter?" Starlene asked. "There are women's clothes all over the floor in here," Tiffany said picking up a sequined gown off her sofa. "What's going on?" "I don't know. There are shoes and clothes on the floor," Tiffany said glancing at the stilettos under the chair. "Do you think Deanna was dancing for Vinny last night?" "I don't know. It looks like more than one woman was dancing here," Tiffany said as she noticed another dress draped over the door handle to the bathroom. "Is anyone home?" Starlene asked. "I don't see anyone here," Tiffany said pushing open her bedroom door. "At least they didn't mess up my room," she said as she walked down the hall with her cell phone. "Look in Deanna's bedroom," Starlene said. "I'm opening the door now," Tiffany said. "Her bed isn't made but she's not here," Tiffany said closing the door and walking towards the kitchen. "I see a note here," Tiffany said as she approached the bar in the kitchen. "Read it to me," Starlene said. "Okay…" Tiffany said as she unfolded the note. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
