Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday March 9th 2005 "Who is it?" Skeeter called out when he heard a knock on his front door. "It's me," Tiffany answered as he opened the door and stood back so she could enter his Bleecker Street apartment. "Hey Baby," he said as he closed the door and walked to the sofa taking a seat beside her on the sofa. "Hi Skeeter. Did you think about what I said?" she asked referring to her ultimatum about moving in with him. "Yeah, I thought about it," he said frowning. "Well?" she asked smiling sweetly. "I don't think you staying over here every night is a good idea," he said. "Why?" "Because our relationship has been steadily improving." "So that's good Skeeter." "But why take the chance we'll mess it up," he said hoping this twist would satisfy her. "What do you mean?" she asked frowning. "The old saying….'If it ain't broke don't fix it,'" he said. "But it's breaking down now. I'm stuck over there in my apartment with a stripper and your roommate Mafia Vinny. It's broken now Skeeter." "I can't help that." "You're the one that rented my apartment to a stripper." "She needed a place, you were in Georgia." "But Skeeter! A stripper!" "Come on Tiffany. I'm tired of going through this with you." "You're tired of going through it! How do you think I feel?" "I can't help it." "You can let me move in here Skeeter," she said waving her hand around as if to show him all the room he possessed. "But I don't like the way you threatened me Tiffany," he said referring to the ultimatum she issued him yesterday. "I'm sorry Skeeter." "You got somebody else already?" he asked through narrowed eyes. "No, of course not." "You said if I didn't let you move in you'd find yourself another man," he repeated. "I was just angry," she said. "I don't like you talking to me that way Tiffany." "I'm sorry Skeeter." "If you hadn't threatened me like that I might have considered it," he lied. "What are you saying?" she asked watching him closely as she realized being tough wasn't working with her ex-husband. "I can't let you move in. I don't really know where I stand with you now Tiffany." "I was just angry Skeeter." "It will take me some time to get over that," he said leaning back on the sofa. "Oh! Okay! So that's the way it's going to be now," she said standing up to leave. "Yeah, but you can stay over a few nights. We'll see how it goes," he conceded as he admired her shapely figure in the tight jeans she was wearing. "Really?" she asked grinning broadly. "Yeah, a few," he said never smiling. "I'll stay tonight!" she said watching him as he squirmed around on the sofa. "I guess," he said. "What time will you be home from work? I'll make dinner," she said as she tried to remember his favorite casseroles. "See that's a problem already Tiffany. I don't close the lingerie store at a certain time," he said shaking his head as if it would never work out. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
