Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday March 7th 2005
"I was just leaving," Vinny said as he walked past Tiffany towards the front door of Skeeter's apartment.
"I think Deanna is next door at my apartment," Tiffany said referring to her stripper roommate that Vinny's in love with.
"Yeah, we're planning some alone time today," Vinny said walking out into the hallway. "See you later man," he called back to Skeeter.
"Okay Vinny," Skeeter said closing the door as he watched Tiffany walk into his living room and take a seat on the sofa.
"Well, what did Vinny say? Will he move back over here with you?" Tiffany asked.
"No."
"Okay, so what do you think Skeeter? Don't you think it would be fun for me to move in with you?"
"Well, Baby I've been thinking about it. I think maybe the right thing to do would be for you to come over here and spend the night sometimes."
"Spend the night?"
"Yeah, then you could get away from Vinny and Deanna and we could be alone," he said trying to sound excited.
"What does that accomplish?"
"You get away from them and we get some alone time."
"Well, I don't know," she said leaning back on the sofa.
"That's the best thing I can come up with. Vinny is determined to stay over there in your apartment at night because he wants to be with Deanna."
"I don't like this," she said flatly.
"Well, there's nothing I can do. If Vinny says no, then the answer is no."
"See what I mean? I hate living with somebody like him. He's in the Mafia! I would think if you loved me you wouldn't want me living with somebody in the Mob."
"I can't help it Tiffany. If you want to spend the night here once in a while, then you can."
"Once in a while?"
"Yeah."
"Like how often Skeeter?"
"Once a month or something like that," he said bracing for her reaction.
"That's nothing! Why would I want to do that?"
"So we could snuggle."
"Skeeter if you loved me you'd want to be with me."
"I do Baby."
"Then why can't I move in here with you and stay every night?"
"I'm not ready yet. I need some time."
"How much time?"
"I don't know Tiffany. I don't know. I just know I'm not ready for a live in relationship."
"Well, once a month isn't any help to me. I need to get away from them far more often than that."
"What would be a number you would like?"
"Four nights a week," she said watching him closely.
"I don't know Tiffany."
"Fine! If you don't love me then somebody else will," she said jumping up and starting for the front door.
