Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday February 1st 2005 "Are you in Deanna's bedroom yet?" Starlene asked as she listened to the sounds of her sister Tiffany's footsteps over the phone. "Yeah, I'm opening the closet door now," Tiffany said as she held her cell phone and opened the door to see if her roommate Deanna had taken the box filled with cash. "I hear somebody at the door Starlene!" she whispered over the phone. "I better go," Tiffany said hanging up as the front door opened and Deanna and her Mafia boyfriend Vinny walked in. Tiffany walked to the doorway of Deanna's bedroom and tried to look casual hoping Deanna wouldn't think she was snooping in her bedroom. "What are you doing Tiffany?" Vinny asked as his eyes narrowed and Deanna looked on in surprise. "Oh nothing. I thought I heard the phone ring in Deanna's bedroom", she lied. "Tiffany I have a cell phone. I don't have a phone in my room," Deanna said as Vinny nodded his head. "Then I guess I didn't hear one," she said smiling. "I think you was snooping around looking for more money," Vinny said in his thick Brooklyn accent. "Wasn't you?" "No! Of course not," Tiffany said as she felt her face redden. "Are you the one that took a lot of the money Tiffany?" Deanna asked taking off her jacket and tossing it on the sofa. "No, I never took any of your money." "Are you sure?" Deanna asked. "I'm positive. But remember you told me to help myself," Tiffany reminded her. "Well, I didn't mean that you should help yourself to thousands Tiffany." "Thousands? Are you missing thousands of dollars?" "Yes," Deanna said as she took a seat on the sofa.
"Gee! I don't know what to say. I tried my best to protect your money while you were gone. I never even so much as put my fingers on it," Tiffany said taking a seat on the sofa beside her as Vinny made himself comfortable in a chair nearby.
"Are you sure about that Tiffany?" Deanna asked. "Yes Deanna. I really worried about you. That's why I called the police when you didn't come home. I had no way of knowing you had inherited a large sum of money. I certainly didn't know that you would lose the money if anyone ever found out where you got it. I feel absolutely horrible about this," Tiffany said pleadingly. "You should," Deanna said. "I said I did. Is there anything I can do to make this right?" Tiffany asked. "Yeah, come up with the ten million she was going to inherit before you ruined it for us... her," Vinny said correcting his slip. "I wish I could," Tiffany said. "I really trusted you Tiffany. Now my story is all over the front page of the newspapers and my family has called to tell me they never want to hear from me again," Deanna said. "I'm so, so sorry," Tiffany said. "Sorry just won't make it better. I always wanted a family. I lived in foster homes my entire life. Just when I thought I had found my family and a lot of money on top of that... you blow it all for me. I thought you were smarter than that Tiffany," Deanna said. "Yeah," Vinny muttered as he turned up his nose at Tiffany. "What can I do now?" Tiffany asked as tears rolled down her cheeks. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
