Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday January 28th 2005 Tiffany rolled over in her bed when she thought she heard the front door of her apartment open. She got out of her bed and walked towards her bedroom door. She glanced in the living room and saw her roommate Deanna walking towards the sofa. "Deanna!" Tiffany called out surprised after her stripper roommate had been missing for weeks. Only yesterday she had called the police to investigate her whereabouts. "Hi Tiffany," Deanna said frowning. "I'm glad you're back. I've been so worried about you," Tiffany said surprised by her lukewarm greeting. "Oh really?" Deanna said looking at her angrily. "Well, yes." "So worried that you called the cops?" Deanna said. "Yes. I called them yesterday." "I can't believe you would do something like that Tiffany. I called you on the phone. You knew I was alive! I told you if you needed anything just to take some money out of the box in my bedroom," she said as her voice started to tremble with anger. "But you seemed so mysterious. You wouldn't tell me where you were." "So! So what? What's the big deal about that?" "I thought you were in trouble or something," Tiffany whined. "Why wouldn't I tell you if I was in trouble? I called you. Why wouldn't I say Tiffany I'm in trouble and I need your help?" "I don't know. I was worried. You left all that money in your room and it was just too weird. I thought something really bad was going on." "Well, it wasn't anything bad! It was something really good," Deanna said taking a seat on the sofa as Tiffany sat down beside her. "Good? It was good?" Tiffany asked watching her roommate closely. "Yes Tiffany. Now I'll tell you because you've ruined everything for me," Deanna said. "Tell me what?" "Remember that strange man that called here then I told you he finally came by the club one night and met me?" "Yes I remember." "He was a detective." "Oh," Tiffany said trying to brace herself for what might come next. "Remember I told you I grew up in foster homes?" "Yes." "He was looking for me because I had inherited a lot of money. A lot of money Tiffany," Deanna said. "Oh that's wonderful!" Tiffany said. "It was for a while. I met the detective and he told me who my real mother was. She was from a famous family. She had me when she was very young. My father was nobody and they never wanted this to get out in the public." "Oh that's a nice story Deanna." "A nice story as long as I never let anybody know about it. I trusted you Tiffany. Now everybody in the world will know about it." "Oh I won't tell anybody." "It's too late. You contacted the police. They investigated everything. They found out where I work as a stripper. They found out everything about me. They even got in touch with my family's detective. Everything is ruined." "Oh maybe not Deanna." "Yes it is..." she said starting to cry. "Surely the detectives won't tell anyone," Tiffany said as her heart sank. "They only told the press. It will be all over the front page of the newspapers. It's over Tiffany. I won't get another penny." She pounded her fist on the coffee table and looked straight into Tiffany's eyes "I'll be stripping the rest of my life thanks to you." CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
