Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Friday January 21st 2005 Tiffany jumped when she heard the knock on her front door. "Who is it?" she called out as she walked towards the door. "It's me Baby," her neighbor and ex-husband Skeeter said. "Hi Skeeter," she said as she opened the door. "What's going on Baby?" he said walking into the living room as she closed the door. "Nothing," she lied as she watched him take a seat on her sofa. "I see you've been drinking," he said referring to the Bourbon bottle on the coffee table. "A little." "Get me a glass with ice Baby. I'll join you," he said as he watched her walk into the kitchen. He heard her open the refrigerator door and he glanced towards Deanna's bedroom. He wondered if he should just go in there and open the closet and take down the box of money. "Here you go," she said walking into the living room and handing him the glass of ice. She sat down beside him and watched as he poured himself a drink from the decanter on the coffee table. "You going to drink with me?" "No, I've had enough," she said. "I've never known you to drink alone Tiffany." "I wasn't alone. Vinny came over here," she said referring to his Mafia connected roommate and Deanna's lover. "Yeah, he told me," Skeeter said watching her closely. "I guess he told you everything." "He told me there's a box full of money in Deanna's bedroom." "I knew he would tell you. I bet he'll tell everybody." "I don't think he'll tell everybody. Why didn't you tell me about it Baby?" "It makes me nervous having that much money in my apartment. I don't know where it came from. I just want Deanna to come back and explain this." "Did she give you any of the money?" "No. Well, she didn't give me that money, but she did give me a total of six thousand dollars for Christmas and some bills." "What makes you think the six thousand wasn't part of that money," he said getting up from the sofa and starting to walk towards Deanna's bedroom. "I never thought about that. I guess it could be. I've been so careful not to touch or get my fingerprints on it too," she said more worried than ever. "What are you doing Skeeter?" she asked getting up and following him. "I want to see the money," he said. "No. I don't want you bothering the money Skeeter," she said as he opened the door to Deanna's bedroom. "Vinny saw it. Why shouldn't I?" he said as he walked into Deanna's bedroom. "That's different. He was her lover," she said immediately wondering if Skeeter had ever been her lover too. "I don't see how that makes any difference," he said opening the closet door and taking down the box of money. He took the top off the box as Tiffany took a seat on the edge of Deanna's bed. "Oh man! Look at this!" he said as his eyes widened. "Yeah, it's a lot of money," Tiffany said noticing that she was numb to seeing the money now. "Did you take a little for yourself Baby?" he asked grinning. "No! Of course not," she said as they heard a knock on the front door. "You go get the door Baby," he said as his eyes feasted on the cash in the box. CONTINUED MONDAY. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
