Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday January 18th 2005 "Where'd you get all this dough Tiffany?" Mafia Vinny asked as he sat down on the edge of Deanna's bed and thumbed through the money in the box on his lap. "Vinny, please just put the box back," Tiffany said as she watched him. "Where'd you get all this money Tiffany?" "It's not my money." "You said it was when I reached for the box just now," he said in his thick Brooklyn accent. "I didn't want you to open the box," she said. "Why not?" "Because it makes me nervous. It's Deanna's money and she's not here." "Deanna's! This changes the whole situation," he said taking the money out of the box and stacking it on the bed. "What do you mean by that Vinny?" she asked as she eyed the stacks of hundreds and thousands. "This means that something's up." "Up?" "Yeah. Deanna ain't makin' this kind bread dancing around in some strip club." "I thought I should call the police," Tiffany confessed. "Why? Why on earth would you call the cops? Are you serious!" "Yes. It has to be some kind of illegal thing. I don't want this money in my apartment." "Well, I can fix that for you real fast," he said grinning broadly. "No. I don't want you to take the money," she said as she watched him stacking the money back in the box. "Why not? If it's making you all nervous." "Because it belongs to Deanna." "Does she know that you know about this money?" "Well, she told me there was some money in here, yes." "So then you know where she got the money from then." "No." "Come on Tiffany. Don't play games with me here," he said getting up from the bed and walking towards her. "I'm not playing games Vinny." "What did she say Tiffany?" "That some man came to where she works when she got off one night and that she was 'fixed' for money now." "I wonder if some of my family is pulling one over on me," he said frowning and twisting the gold chain on his neck. "You mean your Mafia guys?"' "Yeah! What do you think I mean Tiffany? My Mommy and Daddy or something?" "Well, I didn't know Vinny. I don't know anything about all this stuff. I hate all of this," she said starting to feel as if she were going to cry. "Look at you. You're a nervous wreck here. I think I should get this money out of here so you can sleep at night. You're like most people. You're only comfortable poor, as usual," he said reaching for the box on the bed. "Vinny I can't let you take that box out of here," she said. "What you going to do about it?" he said grinning as he stepped towards the door of the bedroom with the box of money in his massive hands. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
