Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday January 12th 2005 Tiffany brushed her long blonde hair and glanced quickly at her reflection in the mirror. She walked from her bedroom into the living room and pulled the Manhattan phone book from the magazine rack. She found the blue pages with government agencies. She didn't want to call the emergency phone number for the police since the money had been in the top of Deanna's closet for a week now. She heard a tap on the door and tossed the heavy phone book on the table. She walked to the door thinking it was probably her ex-husband Skeeter. She would wait until he left to call the police. She opened the door. "Hi Tiffany," Vinny said. "Oh hi Vinny," she said not wanting to invite the Mafia connected boyfriend of her roommate Deanna into her apartment. "You got a date?" He noticed she was dressed for a change. "No, why?" "You've got on make up. I haven't seen you with make up on and dressed in a month now," he said noticing the tight jeans she was wearing. "I don't have a date Vinny," she said irritated with his observations of her appearance. "Are you expecting somebody?" "No Vinny." "Then would you mind if I come in?" he persisted. "Well, I was kinda busy." "Busy doing what?" "Oh never mind. Come on in Vinny," she said stepping aside as he walked into her living room and she closed the door. "You've got the apartment all straight and you're dressed. I guess you're feeling better these days," he said taking a seat on her sofa. "I'm okay Vinny and you?" she said taking a seat in the chair nearby. "Worried sick," he said leaning back on the sofa and twisting the gold chain on his muscular neck. "What's the matter?" "Have you heard from Deanna?" "No, Vinny I haven't." "Are you sure?" "Well, she did call but I didn't talk to her long." "What did she say?" he asked leaning forward and staring at Tiffany. "That she was in a hurry and sorry if she had caused me any worry." "Where was she Tiffany?" "I don't know." "Did you ask her?" "Yeah of course." "What did she say?" 'That she didn't want to go into all of it on the phone." "When she left did she take all her clothes?" "No." "I just can't figure her out. We was doing so good," he said in his thick Brooklyn accent. "She'll come back Vinny." "I have to find her. I have to find out why she just changed all of sudden and left me like this," he said getting up from the sofa. "Where are you going Vinny?" Tiffany asked. "Maybe I'll look around in her room," he said. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
