Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday November 22nd 2004 Starlene opened the door to the Upper East Side mansion she shared with her new husband Stanley Morgan. She walked into the lobby and tossed her coat on a nearby chair. She heard Stanley's daughter Jan in the other room talking with her father. Starlene tiptoed into the living room and took a seat near Stanley's office so she could listen. "I saw the lipstick on Vinny's cheek," Stanley said his voice filled with pain. "She was kissing a man that's in the Mafia. What more do you need Father," Jan said as she paced the floor of his office. "I don't know. I can't believe that she would be in her sister's apartment alone with him after all we've been through," he said before striking a match to light his cigarette. "Smoking? I can't believe you're lighting that thing." "Oh leave me alone. I'm stressed out." "It's Starlene that's stressing you out. I told you not to marry that girl. She's too young for you and she's only after your money." "I don't know," Stanley said leaning back in his office chair as he deeply inhaled the cigarette. "She is. That's the only reason she married you. Did you at least get a pre-nup like I told you to?" "No, I didn't," he said shaking his head as he watched her pace the floor. "Oh great. You haven't been married to her a month and she's already cheating. You better watch she'll have your bank account cleaned out and run off with that Mafia guy." "If she does then she does, I guess." "Why didn't you get a pre-nup? Why?" "Because I love her. I thought we had this thing with Vinny all behind us." "Obviously not. She's over on Tiffany's sofa hanging all over Vinny while he's only wearing underwear. It doesn't sound like it's worked out at all. You've made a huge mistake Father." "Saying things like that doesn't help me," Stanley said. "Well, the best thing you can do is give her some of her own medicine." "What do you mean by that?" "See other women. Make yourself feel better. You're still in touch with Lola Rodgers aren't you?" Starlene thought about walking into the room and interrupting but quickly changed her mind. "I was talking to Lola once in a while. I didn't tell her I was going to marry Starlene though." "Don't put all your eggs in one basket. I don't want to see you hurt Father. Starlene is just a little floozy. You need a woman like Lola that has money and influence. Why don't you come to the Park Avenue Society Cocktail Hour tomorrow night. I know Lola's coming. It will make you feel better." "I don't know," Stanley hesitated. "Lola has been asking about you. I told her you married Starlene," Jan said remembering the scene. "Oh you did. What did she say?"' "She said she gives it two months. She says she'll be there when you're ready for a real woman." CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
