2 1/2 lb. Sirloin steak, cut in 1/2 inch strips 6 tablespoons flour 1 1/2 teaspoons salt 3 small onions, finely sliced 1 lb. Mushrooms, thickly sliced 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped 4 1/2 tablespoons butter 3 tablespoons flour 3/4 cup cooking sherry 3/4 cup canned beef broth 1 1/2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 1 1/2 cup sour cream
Roll steak in 6 tablespoons flour, salt and pepper to taste. Pan fry onions, mushrooms and garlic in butter for 5 minutes, add steak and brown evenly. Remove meat, onions, and mushrooms from pan. Combine 3 tablespoons flour with drippings in pan; add broth and sour cream and heat slowly until gravy simmers. Do not boil. Add beef broth and vegetables and heat a few minutes. Serve on hot cooked rice or noodles. Serves 4 to 6.
