Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday November 18th 2004 "Okay Vinny. I have to admit that I wanted to see for myself," Starlene said as she leaned back on the sofa of her sister's Bleecker Street apartment. "See what? See that I was really in the bedroom with Deanna?" he said as he sat dressed only in his underwear. "Yeah. Tiffany said she knew you were here. She told me that the two of you stayed up late last night playing music." "Yeah, we was getting to know each other," he said in his thick Brooklyn accent. "I guess you really know each other now," she said nodding towards the bedroom where he had spent the night with Deanna. "Yeah. I guess so. It just kinda happened." "I understand. Things like that happen." "Yeah, I wish it had happened for us. If it had then you wouldn't be married to that old man now," he said referring to her wealthy older groom Stanley Morgan. "I don't know. I'd been with Stanley a long time." "Like I said a couple of times. If you decide you ain't happy then I'm still here for you." "Okay. But I understand that you have to go on Vinny. You're a sweet guy. If I hadn't been with Stanley first then maybe you and I would have..." she stopped herself. "Man, if only," he said his voice filled with regret. "But I am happy", she said admiring his muscular legs as he sat beside her on the sofa in his underwear. "I know. I know you said you're happy. But you're here this morning Starlene. You didn't have to come over here," he said scooting closer to her. "Let's don't make too much of it Vinny. I hope you'll be happy with Deanna." "Deanna can't ever be you, Starlene," he said admiring her bosom in the low cut sweater. "She's got a lot more going for her in some departments," Starlene said when she noticed where he was gazing. "She admits the 'girls' ain't real," he said grinning. "Everybody seen those 'girls' of hers too," Starlene said remembering how Deanna pulled up her blouse to show off her topless dancing equipment. "I hope I can get her to stop that habit." "I don't know Vinny. I think that's just the way she is." "No woman can ever be like you Starlene," he said leaning closer to her. "Vinny you say the nicest things." "If I could be married to you everyday would be full of nice things." "Oh Vinny. You really are so romantic," she said as he reached for her hand. He took her hand in his and raised it to his lips. He kissed her hand repeatedly. "You're my star. You're the only girl I'll ever really love," he whispered. "I hope one day you'll find a nice girl and settle down," she whispered. "If I do I'll always be wishing it was you." "Do you mean that Vinny?" "Yeah." "Really?" "Starlene guys like me don't say things they don't mean," he said. "I guess that's true," she said thinking about the fact he worked in the Mafia. "You're my number one," he said. "Thanks Vinny," she said kissing him on the cheek leaving hot pink lipstick. They both jumped when they heard a knock on the door. "Who could that be?" Starlene asked. "Who is it there?" Vinny called out as he got up and walked towards the front door in his underwear. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
