Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday November 17th 2004 "Stanley and I are getting along okay," Starlene said referring to her new husband as she leaned back on the sofa. "I meant what I said Starlene. If you aren't happy with that old man, then I'm here for you," Vinny said. "Yeah, it really looks like you're here for me," she said glancing down at his underwear. "Look I didn't know that Deanna and I would hit it off like that," he said referring to Tiffany's new roommate. "She sure did rush out of here fast," Starlene said thinking about how Deanna had gotten out of the bed and left saying she was going to the club early today. "I guess she knows that I still love you." "Still love me. You and Deanna were in bed this morning. You spent the night here with her. We never did that," Starlene said. "That wasn't my fault," he said in his thick Brooklyn accent. "So I guess it was my fault." "No. I wanted to marry you Starlene. I wasn't looking for a one night stand with you." "Is that what it is with Deanna?" "I don't know." "I kinda overheard you telling her she was your girlfriend now," Starlene admitted glancing towards the bedroom door where she had eavesdropped. "I don't go for a lot of women Starlene. If you're my girl, then you're my girl." "Gee that's pretty admirable for a guy in the Mafia." "Oh, so you think that a guy in the Mob can't be a nice guy?" he said through narrowed eyes. "No, no. I wasn't saying that," she lied. "Good. I would hate to think you don't have any respect for me." "I respect you Vinny." "Good. Cause I respect you too Starlene. I respect your decision to marry Stanley. You told me it was because you had been with him a long time. I understand that. I told you that I'd wait for you. I'm still waiting." "But Deanna is in bed with you while you wait." "That ain't fair. You got Stanley. You expect me to stay a virgin waiting on you?" "No," she said starting to laugh. The more she thought about the remark the harder she laughed. "What's so funny?" he asked grinning at her as she wiped the tears from her cheeks. "A virgin Mafia man... its just too much Vinny," she said as she continued to laugh. "Yeah. I guess it is kinda weird," he said starting to laugh too. He watched her as she wiped her cheeks dry and smiled at him. "You're sweet Vinny," she said. "You are too Starlene." "Are you really happy with him?" "I'm happy," she admitted. "Then what are you doing over here this morning?" "I called Tiffany and wanted her to go shopping with me. She told me that you were in the bed with Deanna. Then Tiffany called about a job in the newspaper. She called me back and told me she had an interview and didn't want to leave Deanna in the apartment alone." "So you rushed over. Was it just to look after Tiffany's interest or was it to see me?" he asked knowingly. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
