Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday October 19th 2004 Vinny took a seat in a chair near Skeeter in the back of Skeeter's lingerie store "Next to Nothing" on Bleecker Street. "What do you want me to find out for you when I call Starlene's family in Georgia?" Skeeter asked. "Just find out if her family is liking Stanley and how it's going," Vinny said. "Okay," Skeeter said reaching for the telephone and dialing his ex-in-law's residence in Lillard Georgia. "Hello," Tiffany answered. "Hey Baby," Skeeter said. "Skeeter. How are you?" she asked. "I'm great Baby. I was just curious as to how it's going down there." "Great. Mom's in the kitchen baking pies for the party tonight." "Oh so your Mother is giving Starlene and Stanley a big party?" Skeeter asked for Vinny's benefit. "Well, it's not as big as we thought it would be." "What happened?" "They were going to invite all of Starlene's friends but when they found out exactly how old Stanley is they decided it wasn't the right thing to do." "So who is coming to the party?" "They invited the preacher at the church and a couple other people." "The preacher?" Skeeter said as he watched Vinny's surprised expression. "Yeah, I think that was Daddy's idea. He's still mad at Starlene for posing for Playbody and he thinks Stanley is terrible for fixing her up with that job," Tiffany said. "I knew it. Well, how's Stanley handling everything?" "He's like a fish out of water," Tiffany said laughing. "So the old man doesn't like it there?" "He's probably hungry. Mama served him grits this morning. You could just tell he didn't like them. I thought he'd have a heart attack when she put pickled pigs feet on the table last night at supper," she said giggling. "Man I can just see Stanley now." "Yeah they were insulted when he didn't partake." "So they don't like Stanley?" "Not yet. Stanley told them he might have to get back to New York early for some business and that really made them mad. They said he didn't seem like a 'family man'. But then Daddy said he hoped that Stanley and Starlene wouldn't be having any children because of the age difference so maybe it didn't matter," she said remembering the scene at the dinner table last night. "What did Stanley say to that?" Skeeter asked. "Starlene took care of that." "What did Starlene say about them having a family?" Skeeter asked as he eyed Vinny. "She was furious that Daddy and Mamma were making Stanley uncomfortable so she said she thought she might be pregnant now," Tiffany said. "Starlene is pregnant?" Skeeter asked as he watched Vinny almost fall out of his chair. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
