Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday October 14th 2004 "Tiffany it's me," Starlene said as she opened the front door to her sister's Bleecker Street apartment. "Come on in. I'm almost ready," Tiffany said as she put a pair of jeans into the suitcase. "Hi," Starlene said walking into Tiffany's bedroom. "Oh hi. Where's Stanley?" "He got his driver to take him to Godiva to buy some chocolates to take Mom and Dad. He'll be right back," she said taking a seat on Tiffany's bed. "Oh this is really exciting to go home to Georgia with you and Stanley." "I know. I'm thrilled. Mama's invited all of our friends over for supper so they can meet Stanley." "Is Stanley nervous?" "Yeah. He's never been to Georgia except for Atlanta. He has no idea what this will be like." "Boy is he in for a big surprise when he finds out there isn't even a stop light in Lillard," Tiffany said. "Yeah. I'm excited too. We haven't been home in so long." "I know. I can't believe you're going home a married woman," Tiffany said. "Yeah. I'm glad. You know Daddy was furious with me over the picture in Playbody Magazine." "Did you tell him Stanley arranged for you to get that job?" "Yeah, so Stanley's really scared. He's also worried because he's older than Daddy." "They'll get used to all of it," Tiffany reassured her. They both looked up when they heard a knock on the front door. "Who could that be?" Starlene asked. "I don't know. Would you get it while I finish packing?" Tiffany asked as she opened another drawer. Starlene walked into the living room and opened the front door. "Hey Baby!" Skeeter said. "Hi Skeeter. Come in," she said standing back as he walked into the apartment. "Congratulations girl. You finally hooked a big fish," Skeeter said. "Yeah. I got him," she said holding up her hand with the wedding band so he could see. "Did you have to sign any kind of papers before he married you?" Skeeter asked in a hushed voice. "No," she said shaking her head. "Smart girl. Now just stay with him a little while and you've got it made." "Oh I'm married forever," she said. "We'll see. Is Tiffany here?" "Yeah, in the bedroom," she said as they both walked towards Tiffany's room. Tiffany glanced up when she saw them coming into her bedroom. "Hi Skeeter," she said as she closed her suitcase. "Hey Baby. I just came over to get the key to the apartment." "Starlene would you give him your key?" Tiffany asked. "Here," Starlene said handing him the key. "Now remember Skeeter, be sure the women that look at the apartment are nice. I don't want any drug addicts or anything." "Of course not baby." "And I want them to understand that I will require first and last month's rent up front," she said watching him closely. "Of course baby," he repeated as the phone rang. "Hello," Tiffany answered. "Hi Tiffany. It's me, Stanley. The car is downstairs. Are you and Starlene ready to go to Georgia?" he asked nervously. "We'll be right there," Tiffany said as Starlene picked up one of her sister's bags to take downstairs. "And remember Skeeter. Don't rent the apartment, just take their names and I'll interview them when I get back, okay?" Tiffany asked as they walked out of the front door. "Of course baby," he said hitting the button to call the elevator. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
