Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday October 7th 2004 Tiffany walked towards her apartment on Bleecker Street. She saw the lights on in her ex-husband Skeeter's lingerie shop "Next to Nothing." She slowed down and thought she would stop by and tell him about the bad news she had today. She started to open the door to the lingerie shop when she glanced through the window and saw Skeeter talking to his ex-wife Jan. Her heart started to race as she wondered if they were getting along and patching up their relationship. She quickly walked past the window and opened the door to the apartment building where she lives. She walked up the steps to her apartment and put the key in the door. She turned on the lights in the apartment and closed the door. As soon as she took a seat on the sofa the phone rang. She hoped it was her sister Starlene. "Hello," she answered as she leaned back on the sofa. "Hey Baby, what's going on?" Skeeter asked. "Skeeter I just walked past "Next to Nothing" and I saw Jan in there with you," she said. "Oh yeah. She just left," he said. "Oh. Well, I hope everything is okay with her," she said bitterly. "She just stopped by to see if I'd seen Stanley." "She doesn't know that Stanley is in Las Vegas with Starlene?" "No, she didn't know." "Did you tell her?" "Well, yeah. I don't know why I shouldn't tell her. I mean if the two of them do get married she'll find out one way or the other," he said. "I guess," she said unsure of what would happen next. "Have you heard from them?" "No. I was hoping she'd call me today and tell me if they got married. "I'm dying to know myself." "I guess Jan is really upset that her Father might marry my sister." "She's not happy," he said. "I don't care. I'm sick of worrying about everybody else's happiness," she said. "What's the matter Baby? You sound really down." "I am down. Clark said he's going to close down the business for at least a month and go away. I don't have a job until he decides what he wants to do," she blurted out. "Oh. I see how you might feel down." "Yeah, the rent goes on while he relaxes." "You can get unemployment." "Skeeter the rent is too high to live on unemployment." "Yeah, I guess you're right. Gee Baby, I'm sorry. We'll work something out," he said. "Like what Skeeter? Are you going to tell me I can live with you and Vinny?" she said referring to his Mafia connected roommate that wants to marry Starlene. "No, I ain't saying that. Just don't worry. I'll help you out," he said wondering what he could do. "I wish I knew what was going on with Starlene. She promised to call me from Las Vegas and let me know if she and Stanley were married. I can't believe she hasn't called me." "Don't worry Baby," he said feeling guilty that he'd called Vinny in Florida and alerted him about Starlene's plans. He wondered if Vinny's 'guys in Vegas' had found Stanley. "You didn't tell Vinny that Starlene is going to marry Stanley, did you?" "No, Baby. I told you I wouldn't do that," he lied thinking he would have to remind Vinny not to tell her how he found out. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
