Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Tuesday September 28th 2004 "Morning Tiffany," Clark said as he walked down the stairs into the living room of the townhouse where he runs his party planning business. "Morning Clark. I made coffee. Would you like for me to order you some breakfast?" she asked seeing the depressed look on his face. "No. I'm going to a breakfast meeting this morning. I'm glad that we patched everything up," he said referring to their recent argument. "Yes, that was nice of Nicole to say she wanted you to keep me here," she said referring to his wife that had just left him for another man. "I think she feels better knowing that you will look after me," he said allowing his shoulders to slump under the pressure. "Have you heard anything from Vinny?" "No. Why?" "I just wondered. Starlene went over to Skeeter's apartment yesterday to talk to Vinny and they weren't there last night when Skeeter came home. I'm worried." "Really?" he said raising his eyebrows as he watched her. "Yes. I hope she didn't do something stupid like run off with him again," Tiffany said. "Do you think she did?" "I just don't know. I can't imagine where they could be." "Well, she'll be back soon. If she's with Vinny she's in good hands," he said picking up his briefcase from beside the front door. "If Nicole calls please have her call my cell phone." "Sure Clark," she said watching him walk out into the bright sunshine and close the door behind him. Tiffany picked up the phone and called her apartment hoping that maybe Starlene had come home. The phone rang repeatedly until her answering machine picked up and she hung up. She wondered if Skeeter had heard anything from Vinny, but knew he would have called her if he did. The ringing of the phone on her desk interrupted her thoughts. "Manhattan Party Planning," she answered. "Tiffany it's me. Is everything going okay with your job?" Vinny asked. "Yes Vinny," she said relieved to hear the casual tone in his voice. "Did Clark tell you that I called him and told him that he should keep you employed there?" he asked in his thick Brooklyn accent. "Yes Vinny. Thank you for doing that," she said. "It was nothing. See I can be an okay guy. I just wanted you to know I never meant you any harm there," he said. "Thanks Vinny. I really appreciate that." "Like I said. It was nothing. I hope that you and me and get along better in the future," he said. "Yeah. Me too. Look where is Starlene?" "I thought she was at your place." "No, she isn't there." "I don't know. I mean she told me she was going home when I left her last night." "What do you mean left her?" "Well she took me to the airport and I left her there." "Airport?" "Yeah. She went with me over to JFK, then she took a cab home." "Where are you Vinny?" "I had to come back to Florida for a meeting. One of those things that just came up all of a sudden. You know?" he said referring to his Mafia business connections. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
