Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday September 27th 2004 Tiffany rolled over in her bed and quickly turned off the alarm clock. She rubbed her eyes and pushed back the cover. She got out of her bed and walked next door to Starlene's bedroom. Glancing around she could see that her sister's bed hadn't been touched all night. She walked into the kitchen and turned on the coffeepot. The phone rang and she quickly walked into the living room to answer. "Hello," she answered. "Tiffany did I wake you?" Skeeter asked. "No. I just got up. What's going on over there?" she asked. "Nothing. I just wondered what was going on at your place?" "Skeeter is Starlene over there with Vinny?" "No. I thought maybe they were over at your apartment," he said. "Oh no! You mean they aren't there?" "No," he repeated. "Where could she be?" "I don't know. I came upstairs from the lingerie shop last night and they weren't here." "I got tired of waiting for her and just went to bed. I was worried that everybody thought I was so nosy. I started to knock on the door several times but I just couldn't bring myself to do it," she said. "Do you think they ran off and got married?" he asked. "Oh Skeeter. I certainly hope not. This is what I get for staying out of her business," Tiffany said. "Don't worry about it Baby. Look I'm coming over there," he said. "No, I just got up Skeeter," she said when she heard him knocking on her door. "Okay," she said walking to the front door and opening it to see him standing there holding his cell phone and grinning at her. "Come on in," she said hanging up her phone and closing the door behind him. "Well since she isn't here…" he said nodding his head towards the bedroom. "Skeeter, this is no time for that." "Looks like to me it's the perfect time. I've got a roommate, you've got a roommate and they're both gone," he said smiling. "I'm too worried for that." "Tiffany just let it be. If she ran off with Vinny and got married it's her life." "Yeah, but it might cost her life too. Vinny's connected to the Mafia." "Look Vinny's a nice guy. He loves her and he wants to marry her." "But I know for sure that Starlene is really in love with Stanley. She really wants to marry Stanley." "But Stanley keeps stalling Tiffany. If Stanley won't marry her why shouldn't she marry Vinny?" "Because I think she messed up by getting involved with Vinny in the first place. Stanley was almost ready to marry her." "Well, there's nothing you can do about it Baby," he said walking towards her and putting his arm around her. "She's my baby sister. I feel responsible for her," she whined. "But you aren't. Come on Baby. Let's enjoy the day while they're gone," he said running his hand under her pajama top. "I've got to work. Clark called and he wants me to come back in today." "I thought he was angry and fired you." "He said Vinny called him and told him he was making a mistake to let me go." "See, I told you Vinny's okay." "I'm glad Vinny did that, but that's not an equal exchange for my sister." "Come on Baby. You're too uptight," he said pulling her closer just before the phone rang on her coffee table.
