Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday September 16th 2004 "Tiffany is that you?" Starlene called out when she heard the front door of the apartment on Bleecker Street slam shut. "Yeah, it's me," Tiffany said dropping the Bloomingdale's "Brown Bag" containing her personal belongings on the floor next to the front door. She walked into the living room and collapsed on the sofa. "What are you doing home so early?" Starlene asked walking into the living room and taking a seat in the chair nearby. "Fired. I got fired," Tiffany said wiping tears from her cheeks. "Get out of here! You mean Clark fired you?" "Yeap, he sure did." "After all of these years of loyalty." "He doesn't think I'm very loyal." "I just can't believe this. Why did he do this?" "It seems everyone thinks I'm meddling into their affairs." "Oh," Starlene said shaking her head. "Do you Starlene?" "I have to admit you have been telling me what to do a lot." "It's because of Vinny and his connections to the Mafia. I just want to protect you." "I know. So what did Clark say?" "He wants Nicole to come back to him and he's afraid she won't as long as I work there," Tiffany said shaking her head. "Wow." "Vinny didn't help either. He knocked on the door when I was at home for lunch and came in and gave me a good talking to about you." "Oh really!" "Oh yes. He was clear that he doesn't want me interfering with his relationship with you either." "I'll tell him to leave you alone," Starlene said. "Don't dare do that!" "Why?" "He'll think I've talked about him again. I don't want to do anything that will make him mad." "Okay. Gee, did he scare you or something?" "I don't want to talk about it anymore. There, I'm finished with everyone now. I don't want to be involved ever again," she said starting to cry. "Come on Tiffany. Don't cry. I know you've been trying to help me. I know you said all those things because you love me." "That's true," she said grabbing a Kleenex from the box on the coffee table and blowing her nose. "You're just upset because you lost your job." "That's one of the things I'm upset over, yes." "He'll take you back. Clark has been mad at you in the past and took you back." "He never asked me to clean out my desk before," she said nodding towards the bag at the front door. "Oh, it'll blow over," Starlene said. "Well, tell me about you and Stanley at Atlantic City. What happened?" "I was all upset over Vinny moving in next door and arguing with Stanley when he was here the other night. So Stanley said grab some clothes and come over to my house. So I did. Then we left and drove to Atlantic City." "Nice. I guess you enjoyed that." "Yeah. It was fun until his limo dropped me off this afternoon," she said. "What happened?" Tiffany asked as she watched Starlene shake her head in dismay. "Vinny was standing in front of the building and he just stood there when I got out of the limo." "No!" "Yeah, he stood there with his arms folded and watched as Stanley's driver took my suitcase out of the car and brought it upstairs. "Oh how threatening," Tiffany said. "Yeah, Stanley was really upset. He called me when he got home and said he didn't know if he could handle this anymore." CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
