Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday September 9th 2004 Tiffany glanced into the window of the lingerie store "Next to Nothing" that her ex-husband Skeeter owns on the ground floor of her apartment building. She saw him sitting in the back of the store alone. She opened the door and walked in the empty lingerie store. "Hey Baby," he said when he saw her walking towards him. "Hi Skeeter. It sure is quiet in here today," she said noticing he didn't have any customers. "Yeah, business has slowed down again. I guess I need a break anyway," he said getting up and walking towards her. He kissed her on the cheek before she took a seat in a chair nearby. "So what are you doing home so early in the day?" "I took an early lunch hour. Clark and I aren't getting along too well," she said referring to her boss. "I guess he's all upset over Nicole leaving him," Skeeter said. "Yes. He's a mess. I can't believe he'd want her back after catching her with that car salesman." "Clark's a loser Tiffany." "He seems to think I'm the loser." "Why is that?" "I don't know. I don't want to go into it anymore," she said not wanting to tell him that it was because of him living next door to her. "What's the matter Baby?" he asked seeing the depressed look on her face. "I don't seem to be getting along with anyone these days." "Who are you having problems with?" "I'm mad at you and Vinny. I wish you hadn't let him move in with you," she said. "Well, that's just going to be temporary Baby. Just until he finds another apartment." "Are you sure Skeeter?" "Yeah. I don't want a roommate. I'm just helping him out a little." "I hope so. Because it's really caused a lot of friction between Starlene and me." "Oh she'll get over it too." "I'm just depressed. Starlene's mad at me. Clark's mad at me and Vinny is living next door to me," she said feeling tears coming to her eyes. "You know Baby. I talked to Vinny last night and he ain't going to pressure her anymore if she really loves Stanley," he said. "Really?" "At least that's what he said after a few drinks last night. I told him he's got to leave her alone if she doesn't want him." "I bet that made him mad." "He didn't like it any. I just told him that winning a woman's heart wasn't the same as closing a business deal." "I'm glad you talked to him Skeeter." "I think he'll lay off a while. I can't promise you anything. But I do think he'll give her a little space." "Good. Thanks a million Skeeter." "Why don't you go upstairs and talk to Starlene. You two sisters shouldn't be fighting. I've known you girls for years and I've never seen you like this. Go on up there Tiffany and patch it up," he said kissing her on the cheek. "You're right Skeeter. I hope Starlene and I can make up now," she said starting towards the front door to leave. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
