Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Monday August 30th 2004 "Look Vinny I know Starlene's a hot number but maybe it isn't in the cards for the two of you right now," Skeeter said as the two men sat at the back of the restaurant in the Washington Square Hotel. "I think its Tiffany that's causing all my trouble," Vinny said in his thick Brooklyn accent. "I was just over there talking to her," he said nodding his head across the street to MacDougal Mews where Tiffany works in a townhouse. "She's almost hostile towards me." "I don't think anybody knows Tiffany better than I do," Skeeter said referring to his ex-wife and current lover. "She's just protective of her little sister. Tiffany is kinda conservative, but Starlene... Well, she's out there", he said grinning as the two men picked up their drinks and took a long sip. "So what should I do man?" Vinny asked. "I'd just give Starlene some time. Look that old man Stanley that she's been seeing he probably won't marry her. He's been telling her for years that he'd marry her and he never comes through. That's one of the reasons she went with you to City Hall and almost married you. Starlene's dying to get married. She's getting sick of Stanley dragging his feet. If you're the nice guy a little longer, I think you've got a good chance," he said noticing the look of relief on Vinny's face. "That sounds like good advice. I'll just give her a little more time and she'll come around. Like you said," Vinny said. The two men looked up when they heard a woman approaching them in the back of the restaurant. "Vinny!" Nicole called out as she walked towards the two men. "Hey Niki," Vinny said smiling broadly as she came closer. "Hi Nicole," Skeeter said eyeing the short skirt she was wearing. His mind raced back to the many times they had secretly met in her apartment just after she married her husband Clark. "Hi Skeeter," she said before turning her attention towards Vinny. "I thought I'd find you here Vinny," she said sliding into the booth where they were seated. "What's the matter Nicki? You look upset," Vinny said. "I got caught in the apartment with Steven," she blurted out. "The Ferrari car salesman?" Skeeter asked. "Yeah. Look this is a big mess," she said grasping Vinny's muscular arm. "Who caught you?" Vinny asked. "Clark. He came by and pushed the bedroom door open while Steven and I were hot at it," she said. "Wow," both men said in unison. "It's not a pretty story though. Clark heard us from the living room. He must have thought Steven was assaulting me. He picked up a statue and hit Steven over the head. Steven's in the hospital now and the police were there," Nicole said. "Oh man. This is unfortunate. I was going to get Steven to find another Ferrari for one of my buddies in Florida. Now that's off," Vinny said shaking his head. "Look Vinny it's more trouble than a stupid car. Reporters came over there taking pictures and everything." "I ain't worried about reporters," he said. "I don't know what to do about Clark too," she said referring to her husband. "I guess he's all upset over this," Skeeter said. "Yeah, he's nuts over it. He was throwing stuff all over the bedroom when I got home. That's why I left. I couldn't stand to be around him. Look Vinny I know you were planning on moving into my old apartment on Bleecker Street, but I think I'm going to move there." "What about my stuff that's coming from Florida this afternoon," Vinny asked. "You can stay with me man," Skeeter said. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
