Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday August 26th 2004 Tiffany and Starlene watched through the front window of the townhouse where Tiffany works. They could see Clark walking over the cobblestones to stand beside his wife Nicole. Clark had just caught his wife cheating with a car salesman. "Can you believe how cold hearted that woman is?" Tiffany asked as the two sisters stared out of the window. "Yeah. She's a real mean person. It sounds like he caught her in the bed with that car salesman." "Yeap. That's what it sounds like to me. She doesn't even have time to talk to her husband and try to make him feel better. She just takes a shower and goes out for a drink!" Tiffany said repeating the scene that had just taken place upstairs while they eavesdropped. "Unbelievable. How could anyone be so cold hearted?" Starlene asked as they stared at the couple obviously exchanging heated words in front of the townhouse. "Maybe it's because her father was a Mafia boss. Maybe she grew up to be heartless." "Yeah, you might be right," Starlene said as they watched Clark placing his arm around Nicole's waist and trying to pull her closer to him. She backed off and seemed to be angered by his gesture. "The only thing is Clark seems to be in total denial that Nicole's father was a Mob boss. He says that she told him rumors have always surrounded her family. He believed that too," Tiffany said. "Sometimes he's kind of stupid," Starlene said. "I'd say. If I were him, I'd divorce that two timer," Tiffany said. "Yeah, me too. Look there she goes and here he comes," Starlene said. She quickly turned around in her chair as the front door opened and Clark walked into the living room. He closed the door and walked towards the sofa taking a seat and putting his head into his hands. "Are you okay Clark?" Tiffany asked. "Yeah," he mumbled looking up at the two women. "Would you like for me to leave Clark," Starlene asked. "Oh no. It's okay. Actually I'm glad the two of you are here. I need someone to talk to," he said. "Do you mind if I asked what happened?" Tiffany asked. "I was supposed to meet Nicole for lunch. I decided to run by the apartment she used to have on Bleecker Street before we got married," he said. "Yeah," Tiffany mumbled. "I was just stopping by to pick up papers I left in the drawer of the bedroom. I knew Vinny was moving in soon, and I didn't want to bother him later," Clark said glancing towards Starlene. "Yeah," Starlene said. "I put the key in the lock and opened the door," he said shaking his head. "What?" Tiffany said encouraging him to continue. "I thought I heard noises in the bedroom. I thought maybe that it was burglar or something. It sounded like somebody ransacking the room. I heard noises like something hitting the wall and low moans. So I picked up this big heavy statue from the table near the door. It's one of those statues of "The Thinker", he said as Tiffany and Starlene both gasped for breath wondering what was coming next. "I walked to the bedroom door and pushed it open quickly with my foot as I held the statue up over my head," he said wiping tears from his cheeks. "Clark what happened next?" Tiffany asked. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
