Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday August 19th 2004 "What's the deal Tiffany? You don't want me to marry your little sister do you?" Vinny asked through narrowed eyes as he paced the floor in the townhouse where she worked. "Vinny my sister is engaged to Stanley. They've been together a long time. I think she just wasn't thinking when she jumped into your car the other day. She just got carried away with the new red Ferrari," Tiffany said. "Oh, is that what you think?" "Yes. I wish you'd just let her be." "Look at the time! I'm supposed to meet Nicole at the "City Grill Restaurant" in ten minutes," Clark said grabbing his keys from the table nearby. "Yeah, I almost forgot to tell you, she told me to tell you she would be running a few minutes late," Vinny said turning his attention towards Clark. "Why?" Clark asked. "She went over to the car dealership and took some papers to the car salesman for me," Vinny said. "You mean Steven?" Clark asked referring to the Ferrari salesman that Nicole met when Vinny bought his new car. "Yeah, seems I'd forget to sign a couple of papers so she took them over for me," Vinny said wondering if Clark had any idea that Nicole was having an affair with the car salesman. "Oh good then I shouldn't be too late meeting her if I leave now. Besides it seems the two of you have some business you need to take care of in private," Clark said glancing back and forth between Vinny and Tiffany. "Yeah, Tiffany and I needs some time to talk," Vinny said in his thick Brooklyn accent. "If Nicole calls tell her I'm on my way," Clark said. "Will do," Vinny said as he watched Clark walk out of the townhouse and close the door behind him. "So Tiffany, it's just you and me now. Why don't you tell me why you don't like me?" he said frowning. "It's not that I don't like you Vinny," she said nervously. "Then why is it that you don't want me to marry your sister Starlene?" "Starlene has been with Stanley for a long time. I think she loves him." "I don't think she does." "Why do you say that Vinny?" "Cause she went with me to City Hall. She was going to marry me the other day. If I had known we needed a license the day before we would have already been married by now." "Vinny I don't want you to get angry with me," Tiffany said wondering if she was treading on dangerous ground. "No. We're just talking here. Tell me what you think," he said taking a seat in the chair in front of her desk. "Well, I really think that Starlene was upset that Stanley had delayed their wedding so many times." "Well, I know that. I thought you were going to tell me something I didn't already know." "Well, that could be why she ran off with you that day." "That don't make any sense to me Tiffany." "Maybe she thought that by going with you she would make Stanley so jealous that he'd marry her." "That ain't the case," he said. "It might be." "No, I can tell you for sure that ain't the case," he said with conviction. "What makes you so sure Vinny?" "Cause we almost got married. If we'd had the license we were going to get married. She had on that wedding gown that she bought to marry Stanley. No woman is going to dress in a wedding gown and go to City Hall with a man that she ain't planning on marrying. You can't tell me that. I know better," he said angrily. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
