Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday August 5th 2004 Tiffany reached for the ringing telephone on the coffee table of her apartment overlooking Bleecker Street. "Hello," she answered. "Hi Tiffany. Have you heard anything from Starlene?" Stanley asked. "Yeah, she just came home," Tiffany said glancing towards her sister as she sat in a chair across from her still wearing her wedding gown. "Did she marry that hoodlum?" Stanley asked referring to the Mafia connected Vinny that Starlene had gone for a ride with in his new Ferrari. "I'll let her tell you everything," Tiffany said handing the phone to Starlene. "Hello," Starlene said after taking the phone from Tiffany. "Starlene are you a married woman?" Stanley asked. "No Stanley. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry if I scared you," she said trying to sound convincing. "Well you did scare me honey. I thought you were going to marry him or something," he said remembering the scene the other day. "Well, I was really only going to take a ride around the block in his new Ferrari then everything just got crazy." "Did he hurt you?" "No he didn't hurt me." "Good. Did Joe give you my message?" "Yes. That was so sweet of you to send someone to try and stop me from marrying Vinny," she said remembering the scene at City Hall. "Did he tell you that they want you to pose for Playbody Magazine again?" Stanley asked remembering how he had asked his good friend the editor to do him this very special favor. "Yeah! I'm so thrilled Stanley. Did you ask them to do this?" "Yes." "Well, I'm still thrilled. They wouldn't ask me to pose again if they didn't like the first issue I was in, right?" "That's right honey." "Joe also told me that you said you'd 'do anything to keep me'," she said. "Yes," Stanley said picking up his martini and taking a quick sip. "Does that mean you'll still marry me?" "I guess so," he said reaching into the box on his coffee table and taking out his first cigarette in over a week. "Oh Stanley! I love you so much," she said leaning back in the chair and smiling as Tiffany got up from the sofa and walked towards the kitchen to make them Diet Cokes. "I love you too Starlene. I think we should talk everything over," he said clearing his throat. "You aren't going to back slide on me are you?' "No honey. But this has been a major ordeal," Stanley said remembering the humiliation he had suffered. "Not as major as if I had actually married him or something." "That's true. But this does show me that you're uncertain about your true feeling towards me," Stanley said. "That's not true," she said raising her voice as Tiffany stopped in the hallway to listen. "You almost married Vinny. You were at City Hall. If he had been smart enough to buy the marriage license in advance you would have gone through with the wedding. You were all dressed in your wedding gown. The gown you bought to marry me in." "How do you know all of that?" she snapped. "Joe told me Starlene. Remember, I sent him there. He told me the whole story," Stanley said as he watched his loyal housekeeper shaking her head in disbelief. "It wasn't all that bad," Starlene said. "It was pretty humiliating the way you left me on the sidewalk and got into that car with that hoodlum," Stanley said remembering the scene on Bleecker Street. "So are you going to marry me or not?" Starlene asked angrily. CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
