Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday July 29th 2004
Starlene opened the door to the ladies room in the restaurant in Little Italy. She heard the gasps from the men in the restaurant as she walked out in her wedding gown.
"You look beautiful," Vinny said walking towards her and taking her into his arms.
"But this is probably bad luck that you're seeing me in the wedding gown before we get married," she whined.
"We'll be downtown at City Hall in a few minutes and we'll be married," he said.
"I just can't believe this," she said as her eyes widened.
"I called one of my buddies and he's going to videotape us. That way we'll capture it all to show our kids one day," Vinny said taking her by the arm as the patrons in the restaurant whispered and stared.
"Children?" she asked as they walked arm and arm towards the front of the restaurant in Little Italy.
"Yeah, a little Vinny and a little Starlene. I can just see it now. Maybe we'll have about five or six kids," he said enjoying the attention they were receiving as they walked towards the front door.
"I don't know about that," she said realizing they hadn't discussed having a family.
"We'll get started tonight," he said glancing down at her voluptuous bosom in the low cut wedding gown.
"Oh Vinny," she said grinning as she heard people in the restaurant awing over how lovely she looked. He pushed the front door open and they walked out into the afternoon sunshine.
"Vinny look over this way," his friend said as a muscular man stood on the sidewalk with his video camera recording the images of the couple leaving to go to City Hall and get married.
"There's my car," Vinny said as he and Starlene walked towards the red Ferrari. He opened the door on the passenger side and she carefully got in holding up the skirt to her wedding gown. He closed the door as tourists on the sidewalk stopped and took pictures of the wedding couple in the hot looking car.
"Congratulations!" people started to call out as Vinny walked around to the driver's side and opened the door. Starlene waved and smiled as she watched young girls grinning at her.
Vinny closed the door and started the engine. The Ferrari purred as more people gathered on the sidewalk of Mulberry Street to watch. Vinny's friend with the video camera rushed to get into a cab to follow the couple to City Hall.
"Ain't this fun Starlene?" Vinny asked as he turned to see her waving at the crowd on the sidewalk.
"It's not exactly the big wedding I always wanted but it's fun."
"I tell you what honey. We'll tie the knot today and then we'll have a big wedding later. You can invite anyone you want then."
"That sounds good, two weddings."
"Yeah, but I'm glad we won't have to wait. I want it to be legal for you our first time," he said reaching over and kissing her on the cheek as cameras flashed.
"Do you think we'll get to City Hall before it's closed," she said glancing at the clock in the car.
"I've got a fast car," he said giving it gas. The car sped out onto Mulberry Street as the crowd cheered and Starlene waved.
"I can't wait for the honeymoon Starlene. I've wanted this since the first time I ever saw you," Vinny said passing a New York Sightseeing tour bus and making a turn to go downtown towards City Hall.
