Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday July 21st 2004
Tiffany turned on her computer and started to delete the spam when she heard Nicole's footsteps coming down the stairs at the townhouse where she works.
"Hi Nicole," Tiffany said noticing her bosses wife dressed in a sheer robe and barefoot.
"So you finally decided to come back to work?" she said referring to the long lunch hour Tiffany had taken.
"I'm sorry. I had some problems," Tiffany said.
"Don't worry about it. I enjoyed the privacy," she said taking a seat on the sofa.
"Did anything happen while I was out?" Tiffany asked.
"Well I had some company. I little break from Clark and all of the boredom," she said referring to her husband.
"Oh I see," Tiffany said not wanting to ask who had been keeping her company.
"Clark and I met the most spectacular man," she said leaning back on the sofa and crossing her legs.
"And you're seeing him while Clark is out on business?" Tiffany dared to ask.
"Sure. I don't think Clark would want to watch," she said giggling as her robe fell open in the front revealing her bare legs.
"You are brave Nicole," Tiffany said trying to hide her disdain.
"I enjoy life."
The phone rang on Tiffany's desk and she quickly picked it up. "Manhattan Party Planning," she answered.
"Hey Baby any word yet?" Skeeter asked as he watched the young girls in his store picking out lingerie from the racks.
"No. Has she called you?" she asked referring to her sister Starlene that left in a car with the Mafia connected Vinny.
"Nope. I'm sure she's out having fun. She'll come home when she's tired."
"What if he hurts her or something?"
"Vinny ain't going to hurt her Tiffany. I told you before, he loves her."
"I'm worried about that too. Starlene is vulnerable right now. Vinny might fast talk her," Tiffany said glancing up to see Nicole staring at her.
"Starlene's a grown woman Baby. I better go I've got some customers. Let me know if you hear anything," he said hanging up the phone.
"What's going on?" Nicole asked as she scooted up on the edge of the sofa and stared at Tiffany.
"I guess I may as well tell you because you'll probably hear about it anyway," Tiffany said knowing that Vinny works for Nicole's father the mob boss in Florida.
"What is it?"
"Starlene ran off with Vinny."
"Vinny?"
"Yeah, your Vinny."
"Get out of here," Nicole said laughing.
"No. He came by in a new red Ferrari and she got into the car with him and hasn't come home yet."
"Oh that car has really started a lot," Nicole said grinning.
"It is nice," Tiffany admitted.
"Yeah Clark and I went with Vinny shopping for that car. That's when I met Steven," she said all dreamy eyed.
"Steven?" Tiffany asked raising her eyebrows.
"The car salesman. He's so gorgeous. I just couldn't resist. Besides he gave Vinny a good deal when he saw me," she said remembering her intimate hours with him upstairs this morning while Clark was out of the office.
"Oh great. You're having an affair with a car salesman and my sister has run off in the car with your friend Vinny."
"At least we're having fun Tiffany."
"Is that all you think about Nicole?"
"No. Money is right up there," she said grinning.
"Honestly!" Tiffany said with disdain.
"Don't be so uppity. I've got Vinny's cell phone number," she said grinning broadly as she watched Tiffany's expression change.
