20 pieces large shrimp shelled and deveined 20 pieces large sea scallops tough membrane removed Olive oil, for brushing Salt and freshly ground pepper
Preheat a grill or the broiler. Thread about 5 shrimp on each of four 8 inch skewers. Do the same for the scallops. Brush the seafood with olive oil and season lightly with salt and pepper. Grill or broil the seafood, turning the skewers once, until just cooked through, about 2 minutes on each side for the shrimp and 3 minutes on each side for the scallops. Serves 4.
