Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Thursday July 1st 2004
"Starlene what did Vinny want?" Tiffany asked as she watched her sister hang up the phone and walk back into her bedroom.
"Oh just to talk."
"He told me he wanted to take you out to dinner. That's what he said when I answered and he thought I was you," she said frowning.
"Yeah, he'd like to take me out," Starlene said grinning broadly.
"Well, I certainly hope you told him not to call you again," Tiffany said.
"No. I didn't say that to him. He's sweet," she said as she walked back to the bed and started to sort through her lingerie that she was preparing to pack.
"Sweet! He's in the mob Starlene," Tiffany said.
"There's just something about him Tiffany. He's so big and masculine and yet he's so gentle," she said feeling warm all over when she remembered their close encounters.
"Oh Starlene! I do hope you told him that he doesn't have a chance with you," Tiffany said worried.
"I think you took care of that Tiffany. I heard you telling him that Stanley and I are getting married," Starlene said remembering how Tiffany had blurted it out as soon as she found out it was Vinny on the phone.
"I was afraid you wouldn't tell him," Tiffany said defensively.
"It doesn't matter. I told him that Stanley and I will be trying again. If things work out then we'll get married."
"Good. I'm glad you were honest with him," Tiffany said taking a seat on her sister's bed and watching her as she sorted through the risqué lingerie.
"You know I told Vinny about Marco and how he lied to me," Starlene said.
"Oh really?" Tiffany said with a more serious tone in her voice.
"Yeah. He was furious that Marco had lied to me and took me to bed when he's a married man," Starlene said.
"Oh Starlene. I wonder if Vinny will hurt Marco or anything," Tiffany said thinking about Vinny's mob connections.
"I told him not to. I told him that Marco might get me a job as a hostess on the TV show "Blonde World."
"Yeah, but that doesn't seem to be coming through either," Tiffany said still furious with Marco for taking advantage of her sister.
"Yeah. I think Marco is a snake. He lied about being married. He's led me on about that TV job and everything. Maybe I hope Vinny will hurt him," Starlene said frowning.
"Don't say things like that. It could be serious," Tiffany said remembering all the Mafia movies she'd seen.
"Well, it's true. I mean I wonder how many other girls he lies to like that?"
"Just forget it Starlene. You haven't seen Marco around lately have you?" Tiffany asked referring to the fact that Marco lives in their building.
"No. I haven't seen him, but I have seen a strange woman in the building. I wonder if it's his wife?"
"Well, don't worry about it. I mean you'll soon be moved out and living with Stanley."
"That's true. I can't wait to get back to Stanley's house. I love having a maid, a limousine and money," Starlene said.
"You aren't doing this just because Stanley has money are you?"
"That doesn't hurt any Tiffany."
"There has to be more though Starlene."
"If you mean intimacy. Believe me as long as Stanley has his little pills everything is okay," Starlene said grinning broadly. They both stopped laughing when they heard a knock on the door.
