Soap Opera "As The Mouse Moves" - Wednesday June 30th 2004 "Starlene, it's me," Tiffany called out as she opened the door to her apartment on Bleecker Street. "In here," Starlene called out from her tiny bedroom overlooking Bleecker Street as she heard the front door close. Tiffany tossed her purse on the table and walked towards her sister's bedroom. "Wow, what are you doing, packing?" Tiffany asked as she glanced at the lingerie tossed around on Starlene's bed. "Yeah, I'm just getting some stuff ready to pack. Stanley wanted me to wait a few days before I move back in," she said taking a seat on the bed and watching her sister walk into the bedroom. "Why? You don't think he's changing his mind do you?" "No. I don't think so. He says that Jan is so stressed out about Skeeter and the divorce. He says it's just a courtesy." "So Jan's all stressed out," Tiffany said grinning. "Yeah, it's her turn isn't it," Starlene said smiling broadly. "Yeah, she's the one that stole him from me," Tiffany said still unable to forget how Jan had done everything in her power to break up her marriage with Skeeter. "I'm glad he's divorcing her. I can't believe that Skeeter ever married her in the first place. They really are mismatched." "I think so too. Has he stopped by here?" "No, I think he's still downstairs at work," Starlene said referring to Skeeter's lingerie store beneath Tiffany's apartment. "I saw Amanda in there when I passed by the window. I bet he fires her soon," Tiffany said referring to the gay sales girl Jan had hired to watch over Skeeter. The phone rang and Tiffany got up and walked into the living room as Starlene turned her attention back to her lingerie. "Hello," Tiffany answered. "Hey there. I was wondering if the twos of us might go out for a little dinner tonight," the man asked in a thick Brooklyn accent. "Who are you calling?" Tiffany asked trying to place the rough voice. "Oh excuse. I always gets the twos of you mistaken," Vinny said. "I wanted to speak to your sister." "Vinny?" Tiffany asked. "Yeah. How's it going there?" "Fine. I think Starlene will soon be getting married. Everything is going great," she said as she watched Starlene rushing towards the phone. "Married? What you talking about?" "Stanley. She and Stanley are about ready to tie the knot," Tiffany said hoping this would be the end of Vinny and her younger sister. Vinny's mob ties scared Tiffany and seem to excite Starlene. "Is she there?" "Here," Tiffany said as Starlene grabbed the phone and frowned at her sister. "Hello Vinny," Starlene said in a sexy voice. "I hope this ain't for real what your sister's saying here," he said. "No. It is true that I'm moving back in with him though," she said. "Why Starlene?" he asked. "I'm ready to settle down Vinny. I'm not getting any younger. I don't want to wait too long," she said as she laughed lightly. "This is a big mistake Starlene. I think you're marrying that old man cause he's loaded. Don't get me wrong honey. There ain't nothing wrong with that. But I ain't actually hurting for money," he said hopefully. "Oh that's sweet Vinny," she said feeling warm all over as she remembered the times he'd tried to score with her when she and Stanley had been fighting. "If you'll give me just one chance I can promise you that you'll forget that old man." CONTINUED TOMORROW. MORE SOAP PHOTOS BELOW.
